"The Tahiti Airport Motel is basic but reasonable for a 1 night stay when proximity to the main airport is a priority. The rooms are small but clean and adequate. The front desk clerk spoke English and was helpful. The weird thing is that you can see the motel from the front of the airport but you really can't walk there (especially with luggage) and they do NOT have a shuttle. I called the motel upon arrival and they instructed me to take a taxi from the airport which cost $20 each way. For...

"La grandeur des chambres et leur propreté étaient impeccables et confortables. La piscine creusée excellente avec vue sur la montagne. Végétation mature avec plusieurs arbres à fruits. Personnel serviable, attentionné, aimable. Restaurant très beau sur le bord de l’eau et très bon. Que 2 petits bémols: petit réfrigérateur dans la chambre et air climatisé pas très puissants. Nous avons adoré nos 2 jours au Royal Tahitien!"

"Reva picked us up at 2:00 am. She was incredibly kind and informative. In addition, she dropped and picked us from the town center. Breakfast was provided on the patio outside our room. We will be using this hotel again soon. We were also able to store a suitcase at her place. Her place is close to the airport. However quite far from anything else."

"The staff were helpful and the attached restaurant has a great breakfast (not included and a little pricey but excellent). Great that they have parking on site. Rooms have a small balcony overlooking the hills. Beds were comfortable and the shower is huge. You can also shower and refresh on arrival even if your room isn't ready in the locker room by the pool and then store your luggage. Very warm in the main parts of the hotel and the lighting is too low for my tastes, including in the bathroom....

"Very nice place, very kind of them to let late night travelers use the lounge space. But the architects who forgot to put fans in the bathrooms were stupid! Hot and humid in the restrooms and the poor cleaners have to go back multiple times each day. But a lovely hotel, great folks working there!"

"Overall, it was a nice place for our one night stay. Room was nice and cold, but the common areas were hot and muggy which wasn’t ideal to hang around in all day waiting for a flight. The only other area to nitpick was the bathroom in the rooms: small space and door makes maneuvering a hassle. However, close to restaurants, airport and the market."

"Spacious 3 bedroom villa with great air conditioning in bedrooms, wonderful deck and plunge pool. Handy to have washing machine. Close to good restaurants. "We stayed for one night in Oct. 2026. We had a junior suite with a private plunge pool and lots of space. We had our meals there too, which were surprisingly delicious. French and American food choices were available. Since the property was located on a high cliff the views were beautiful. My only criticism is that all the outside decking and walking spaces were painted white, and there were several spots where there were one or two steps, which made it very difficult to distinguish. "Great little spot where you have privacy and share common areas like kitchen, bathrooms, showers. The host was helpful and friendly. The pool was great. Peaceful place. We stayed one afternoon-evening before catching our red eye flight back to Hawaii. It was a nice spot to take a nap, enjoy the pool, and freshen up. "I stayed in the Kava bungalow which I thought was excellent. That said, the stairs to the loft where the main bed is are small and steep so something to keep in mind if you need to try to make it down to use the bathroom and back up in the dead of night. "The Teahupo’o surf break is basically directly out front (off-shore at the reef, of course) but water taxis are right at the shore by the front gate of pension so the location could not be better from that POV. It’s a short walk (5 minutes) on a nice beach path from the Teahupo’o photo wave spot and Olympic rings, or you can drive to the pension and park but only if you’ve got a vehicle capable of river-crossing - so that adds to the charm of the place as well. "This is a great property if you wish to explore the south side of the island, or if you have your own vehicle. Unfortunately it is NOT 2.5 miles from the airport or the cruise ship port. It is on the opposite side of the island, Depending on traffic, a 90 - 150 minute drive. $115 taxi drive. You can get a 3 day tourist bus pass for 1 franc (a bus ride is 4 francs) but the busses stop running at 4:00 local time.
