"Really happy with my stay. Half the price (£65 for Walnut Room) and twice as good as city centre chains. There was a bit of traffic noise (building is close to a busy road) but the room had character (v high ceilings), nice furniture, comfortable bed, was clean and in a good location. Easy to find fault in places but as someone who regularly works away for work, this is definitely a 'come back to'."

Overall ok thanks to the other guest Michael who welcomed me and also showed me that there was a kitchen (microwave oven), which I could use. "We arrived at 6pm and waited 10 minutes to check in. The room we reserved was unavailable. We drove for 20 minutes on single track to arrived from Shrewsbury. The breakfast was none existent. The room was clean and tidy but the lighting was terrible. I think 6.0 rate is suitable."

"A real hidden jem in a small village with lots of facilities. Opposite the Castle and duck pond. Not far to lots of tourist hotspots and when you get back plenty of free parking. Its an old building with creaking floorboards but that odds to the charm."

"I had a room which was on the ground floor , opening the window you looked down onto traffic . It was noisy most of the day with ambulances from the nearby A/E as well . Probably not for you if a light sleeper but some of the above could be avoided if another room. Apart from the above it was an excellent 2 night stay with very pleasant and helpful staff , the room was more than acceptable for cleanliness and facilities . The food , breakfast and dinner in the bar area was very good ."
