"An excellent location for a walking weekend. Check in from 3.30 only but there’s lovely walks from the village to keep you busy. Check in was good with a friendly welcome. The room was comfortable and clean. You cloud hear the owl in the woods at night it was such a peaceful location. We had a wonderful evening meal, a little more than we might pay at home but it was beautifully cooked and value for money. Breakfast was equally delicious. I had the superfood breakfast. Sourdough toast. Smoked salmon poached egg scattered with mixed seeds. Lovely. Great service excellent night away. "

"What an amazing find. Tucked away on the edge of the village, Edgcott house is the perfect weekend bed and breakfast get away. Penny and Simon, your hosts, welcome you into their exquisite home like old friends. The house is spotlessly clean, warm and inviting, everything you could want in such elegant comfort. The whole feel of the place is just so refined but homely. My wife and I had had a stressful day before we arrived because of car issues but once there we just relaxed into the peace and quiet. So much so that we stayed an extra night. Breakfast was a real treat and you know that cooking is a passion in the house by the bookcase full of cookery books in the hallway. No half measures here with copious use of local ingredients and home grown produce. Penny successfully reminded me how much I like rhubarb for breakfast! We cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough and we were even able to take our dog. We shall return again."
