"Due to the issues encountered, we had to book alternative accommodations for the remainder of our trip. Our experience was unacceptable for several reasons: - Cleanliness and Odor: There was an unpleasant smell in the hallway, and our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. - Lack of Amenities: The kitchen was not equipped with pots, pans, or dishes. Additionally, there were no toiletries, such as shampoo or body wash, provided in the shower. - Breakfast Quality: The advertised breakfast consisted only of coffee and a small prepackaged muffin. - Environment: The hotel was very loud in the evening, and I did not feel safe staying there with my children. Despite my request to speak with a manager during our stay, I was never able to do so. If you book through a third party site you will not be able to change your reservation. "

"Trash in the hallways and stairwells - not tons, but clearly not being regularly picked up. Checkin was laborious - had to wait about 15 mins while the sole clerk (slowly) gathered kitchen supplies for a couple, then the checkin process itself took way too long; the clerk grunted more than spoke. Bare minimum decor giving the whole place a lower-class feeling. Room was clean but while working on my laptop kept hearing a crinkling/popping sound, looked under the table and the outlet where the TV plugged in was sparking and beginning to flame - pulled out the plugs and it stopped. Tried to tell the clerk when I was checking out but they were nowhere to be found; found a maintenance man and told him about the outlet problem, not sure the message got through (hope so...). Will not stay at another America Suites Extended Stay."
