"This past visit July 2025 will mark our third consecutive summer stay at this gem of a hotel. We continue to enjoy the spacious accommodations and friendly staff. Like a sightly faded beauty, this 50 something year old hotel certainly can use an update , and we have been advised that is in progress. However you cannot beat the spaciousness and slightly faded grandeur of this beautiful property. The hotel is situated on what I believe to be one the ‘most’ gorgeous and picturesque of the entire Taormina area. The private grotto beach and pool areas are spectacular as is the view of Mount Etna from the buffet breakfast terrace. "

"Great location with several dining options. Quick drive to Taormina or Naxos beach. Beach is a little too rocky for small children but we anticipated that. Hotel staff were very helpful and parking is monitored just a down the street. "

"My stay at the Splendid Hotel in Taormina was absolutely wonderful. The location couldn’t be better - just a short walk to the town center and the cable car that takes you down to the sea. It’s the perfect base to explore everything Taormina has to offer. What truly stood out, though, was how warm and welcoming the atmosphere was from the moment I arrived. The hotel has a charming, relaxing vibe, and the staff made me feel completely at home. A special mention goes to Mohammed at the front desk, who was incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help. Whether I needed directions, recommendations, or just a friendly conversation, Mohammed was consistently attentive and thoughtful. His hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. "This was the one of the best hotel stay’s that I have ever had. The concierge and front desk personnel were extremely kind and helpful. Also the location of the hotel was amazing, we were a 3 min walk from the cable car that goes into the city center. The hotel is right on the beach which is so convenient.
