The room and hotel were beautiful. The staff was eager to help. We decided to book this hotel for a staycation and were especially excited to use the pool. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for maintenance for most of our visit. The hotel staff knew it was going to be closed and failed to tell us at check-in. When we inquired mid-way through our stay about staying another night so we could have more time at the pool, the front desk staff was not willing to budge on price or even include breakfast for the extra night.
During the small amount of time we were able to use the pool, we were told that we must use swim caps in the pool. This rule was not posted anywhere. I offered to buy swim caps to use and was told they did not have any for sale. If this is going to be a rule of the hotel, they need to make swim caps available to buy.
The room service and restaurant food was decent but not especially good. At one point we ordered a pizza which had no seafood listed in its ingredients on the menu. When the pizza came out forty minutes later, it was covered in shrimp and scallops. I am allergic to shrimp so we had to wait another 30 minutes for them to remake the pizza.
Again, the employees are kind and helpful, but the hotel has a long way to go to meet typical Pullman standards.
