Check in time was 4pm but i had to wait another 30 minutes for my room to be ready. Location was about 10-15 minutes' walk from Ximen station. Room was relatively clean with enough amenities. TV signal and wifi were fine. Service was average.

You may book the room if you can take the water pipe sound throughout the WHOLE NIGHT. Poor sound proof is fine but the water flowing sound will accompany you for the entire night. THE WORSE HOTEL THAT I EVER STAY!

The room is very dirty, stains on the bathtub, dust all over the bedroom that is being circulated by the internal aircon unit. Toilet door doesn't shut properly.

Nice Hotel
Overall satisfied with the hotel. However the standing shower not suitable for elderly as I need to climb over the wall/partition to take shower. Free 2 breads for each guest & drink only coffee/tea. No free fruits or drinks as per mentioned by previous guests.

Comfortable Stay w/12 min walk to Ximen MRT
Comfortable Stay. No major complaints. Don’t expect too much for breakfast. About 12 min walk to Ximen MRT Station. You can find Starbucks, MacDonalds, City Milk , Adidas, New Balance, Watson’s and many 7/11 stores on the way

This Hotel is Above Average
The sound insulation is quite bad, room size is a bit small, pillow a bit too soft, the toilet is small too. But at least it has a nice TV.

Hedo Hotel Kangding
The hotel is 6 minute walk to Ximending and 8 minute walk to Ximen mrt. They have very helpful staff and the 24 hour free snacks (fruits, crackers) and drinks (soda, coffee, tea) is a big plus. The staff were accommodating with our questions and even helped me pack my liquid purchases from the market. The rooms are not that big but have excellent beddings. They could improve though on their breakfast choices. They provided jam and cheese sandwiches everyday for our 4 day stay. I was initially advised via email that breakfast would be from mcdonalds. Thankfully the hotel is near mini canteens/restaurants that sell hot noodles and rice toppings. Housekeeping could improve also. Seems like they only fix the bed and change towels. A little sweeping would be nice. Overall, it has a good location, the kindest and most wonderful staff and very comfortable beds. I would still stay here next time I visit Taipei.

Wrong Turn in Taipei
Pros: Very friendly staff who do their best to overcome their lack of knowledge about Taipei and its attractions and their lack of English-speaking skills. Clean rooms. 24/7 snacks in lobby. Cons: VERY small rooms in a VERY small hotel. Most staff speak only a word or two of English and some don't speak any at all. Hotel is located on a very noisy, smelly street. Hotel is further from attractions than advertised. Their "included breakfast" is assorted egg McMuffins, juice boxes and apples/bananas. No room safe OR hotel safe for clients. I do NOT recommend this property to non-Chinese-speaking persons as English is not spoken by staff.

This was our 2nd time staying here. The management recently changed and they are now known as Ximen Hedo Hotel Kangding. The Good: Cleanliness was good, they have daily room cleaning service. They also provide snacks and drinks in their lobby so it's good if you just want to chill out (from the summer heat). The not-so-good: The room we got was much smaller although the size we booked was the same as the first time. They don't seem to have queen size beds - their double beds were just 2 single beds put together. The soundproofing of the hotel is non-existent, we hear the cleaners slamming the doors every morning. The blessing in disguise: The water pipes had some issues which caused us to have to move to another hotel and an upgrade to a bigger room.

Simple Clean Chic
Deluxe room was very comfortable. Glad they have a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cold in the hot weather. Breakfast was included with the stay at a breakfast shop located just across the street. Convenient 10 mins walk to the metro station. Lots of food/drinks/shops within walking distance.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for somewhere simple, but in a great location and clean. Check in and out is extremely easy. They even called a taxi for me when I left. The taxi to the hotel from the airport is about 1,100. The location is great. Two blocks from all the shopping. The room could have been cleaner, but it was just fine. The breakfast was weak-sandwich and coffee. I recommend going elsewhere to eat. The wifi is incredibly fast. The rooms can be loud if there is construction nearby, or if people are loud in the hallway. I would stay again.

The hotel and room are in good condition. Room is clean. The only thing that I don't like is the basin, it is too small.

You don't get what you pay for.
I had booked a room with a double bed in it. Instead we got a room with two twin beds pushed together. When we asked about it they said too bad and offered us nothing in return for our wrong room, no discount, no room move, no nothing.

The room was noisy due to poor noise isolation. Can hear vehicles passing by and even sound by neighbour room. Breaksfast provided is outsource to a shop opposite the hotel. (hotel will give 50 NT food voucher per person). 5-10mins walk to main ximen shopping district.

Overall, pretty nice place
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel but the worker at the front desk seemed like he was the only one working in the whole building...He didn't speak much English either so I had to translate using the translator on my phone... The room was clean and comfortable and just good enough. However, for some westerners and Americans it might be considered a small or even tiny. The area was pretty good for shopping and easy to get to all locations in Taipei. I would definitely recommend it again but only if you know what to expect when you visit.

ツインの部屋に宿泊したが一つの枕カバーに茶色のシミがあり、ベッドシーツの間に長い髪の毛が挟まっていた。もう一つの枕カバーには小さい虫がいてた。シャワーカーテンも短く、シャワーするとトイレの方まで床がビチャビチャになります。寝ているとどこの部屋かの排水を流す音も気になります。テレビのリモコンも埃が被っていました。床も汚く感じました。もう2度と利用しません。
