- lots of incentives to give hotel a good review on social media (eg. get a free mug or toothbrushes) - about 500m or 10min walk away from the station - breakfast not great with a small range for variety - front reception very helpful - smells of smoke (even though a non smoking area)

Staff r friendly. We liked the mor’ng Breakfast with varieties n each day got some different dishes. But room Airconditioning adjustments not working. It ownself make changes over the night.

Great Value - Very Friendly Staff
I needed a place to stay for one night in Taipei and G7 was an excellent choice. The room was very comfortable and I was able to prepare for my business meeting the following morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I interacted with about 5 different staff members and they were all very charming. Breakfast was good too. I wanted to stay another night but had another room that I had previously booked to head to.

The whole floor which my room is has bad smell of smoking. The room also. Even though it was stated non smoking. Told the hotel staff but they insist it was non smoking. Not coming back again. i stayed at 3 different hotels for that period of vacation in Taiwan. The other 2 were nice. The price is around the same range.

One of the three rooms
We booked 3 rooms. The chemical smell in one of the room was so strong and makes us sick. We informed the hotel staff. They apologised and were empathetic. However, they were not able to move us to another room because it was full house. We had no choice but to vacant that room and we squeezed 7 of ourselves in 2 rooms. We have a little surprise breakfast. The management gave us a writing apology during our check out.

Pros: - Free snacks, coffee and tea. - Free complimentary water. - Small but nice balcony. - Very friendly atmosphere specially at the breakfast floor. - Fastest check-out I have ever seen. It took only a few seconds. Wow! Cons: - No safe in-room. - No iron in-room. - Small room. - The building looks older than built on 2012!

Pleasant hotel in New Taipei
Had a pleasant experience at Hotel G7 at New Taipei. PROS: value for money, breakfast, Beddings, Bathroom, Walking distance to MRT station, helpful front desk staff CONS: No window and no clock in the room, very tight space for clothes & luggage and very little space to walk around the room

Spacious room
I was staying for a night for the transit back to HK on the next day. My first impression about the room is spacious compared to the other hotel I stayed in Taipei. The room is clean and it has everything I needed. The only complaint I have is the location from the metro train station as it is a little walking distance in between. Overall, I will stay again.

The hotel is clean and nice with excellent staffs!
Very interesting and good environment hotel. My wife and I were so happy with this trip because we were managed to visit most of the places by using MRT, such as Dan Shui Lao Jie, Bei Tou Wen Quan, Jiu Fen, Shihlin Market, Xin Men Ding, New Taipei Christmas Party, Hao Chu Zao Chan (Breakfast), Deng Yi Ge Ren De Ka Fei, Taipei 101, Rao He Market, Jiu Fen Pu, Dozo Izakaya Bar, and etc.

Is a very nice hotel。 Though the hitel us located a bit far from the MTR 捷運 (about 7 minutes), this new hotel is extremely good for its staff who is very polite and helpful。 Room is very clean。 Breakfast buffet is very delicious。

A comfortable 2-night stay
Originally wanted to book City Park Hotel which is just at the train station but couldn't get a room, so settled for Hotel G7 which is nearby. We got a quad bed room at the basement which did not have any windows, so we couldn't see when the sun was up, so we had to set an alarm to wake up. The floor air conditioning was a little cold. As mentioned by many other reviewers, the walls are thin we can hear noise coming from outside the room and nearby rooms. The table soccer was a nice addition to our floor and we had fun using it but it was very screechy and I'm sure we would have disturbed other guests if we had played at night. Our quad room itself and toilet was comfortable, clean and modern, although I fancied the pillows were a bit too soft. Room is a bit small but just enough to put our luggage lined along the wall. The morning breakfast spread was not fantastic but not too bad.

Huge room & excellent facilities. Great location with free BRT bus within walking distance to some popular places. Clean room & helpful staffs. Great buffet breakfast which provides quite good variety.

A Wonderful Stay
We stayed at Hotel G7 from 22/11/2014 till 25/11/2014. We had a pleasant stay with helpful and attentive front desk and cafeteria staff. The room is clean, modern and nicely designed. The location is convenient access to underground station, public transport, restaurants, book store, local supermarket as well as convenience store. The price is very reasonable and value for money.

When I asked for directions since I was a tourists - they did not seem to know where the tourist spots are and their location (how to get there) - ea. The monument. Though breakfast was included in the stay, it was bland. Same food everyday. No complaints on the freebies, but they should change some food everyday so its not boring.

Nice hotel in New Taipei City
We had an enjoyable stay at G7, the staff were pleasant and friendly and eager to answer any of our queries regarding travel around Taipei. The hotel rooms are clean albeit rather small, but it was of no concern to us as the amenities supplied were great. This included the video on demand service to supplement the tv channel selection, which was a pleasant surprise. Despite being located along the outskirts of Taipei city, in Luzhou, a city in New Taipei, it was only a 5-7 minute walk from the MRT station. In addition, located next to the hotel are famous Taiwanese restaurants, a mutton soup one and a mutton barbebque restaurant. Right next to the hotel, there is a good seafood restaurant as well. All of which serve good food at affordable prices. It was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it.

Rooms are really small, pretty much the bed takes up the whole room and not much space to walk around or put the luggages. They gave us 4 water bottles and slippers! Service is good, buffet breakfast is not good, location is about 5-7 min walk from mrt station, but difficult to get to, dont bother getting a taxi to and from bc its such a short distance. We called a taxi to take us from the hotel to mrt on our last day bc it was raining and he yelled at us instead, said we were wasting his time. My husband felt bad and gave him more than enough but he was so grumpy, how rude! Overall, its decent and good for the price, lots of new release free movie in room!

A nice stay at a budget hotel. I rate it 3.2.
I stayed 3 nights at the hotel in July 2014. It is about 1 mile off the highway and offers free parking. A subway station is about 300 meters away which is a plus. From commute standpoint, the location is great. Room is overly clean and the staff is very friendly. There is a Seven Eleven close by. Breakfast is Taiwanese style which is typical in Taipei.

My room was cleaned everyday, and was spotless. Hotel Staff were very helpful as I was a single lady travelling alone, and could speak no Chinese. Breakfast was different every day and if you wanted to try a more Chinese menu one was available. The only down point of the hotel is that the walls are a bit thin and you can hear other customers especially at night, I had two young children arrange at 2 am in the morning nextdoor and they took a long time to settle, and so did I after being woken.

Great place to stay in Taiwan if you're on a budge
The Hotel G7 exceeded all expectations - from the service to the great rooms, I was pleased and surprised. The location was excellent (only a couple of blocks from the St. Ignatius High School MRT station) and there are plenty of good restaurants within a five minute walk. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, especially the day manager, Eddie. Breakfast was very nice, and we were allowed to dine on the 6th floor veranda overlooking the city. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to visit Taiwan but not to break the bank.

Kind of disappointed with the hotel condition
+ Hotel to MRT less than 10 min - Room are not soundproof - Breakfast buffet (VERY Limited choice) The hotel to me is kind of disappointment, From the web page it look nice but when I reach there is kind of shocking... only the room is the same as picture, Staff is very friendly and nice. Will ask you where are you going and how to you go that place. And always tell us what must we do when we are that place... Breakfast buffet is very limited, Their timing is from 7am - 10am on my first day I went up at 8 plus in the morning 3/4 of the food is empty and there is no top up. After that we didnt went up for breakfast anymore. So overall, if people who are not very particular with hotel this hotel may be good for you to stay.

Cozy Hotel
The hotel was clean, although the room was small but it has everything you need. The TV was quite big and had free movies for you to watch. Some of the movies were quite new. I will definitely stay there again when I return to taipei. The hotel was near a metro station too, within walking distance. But it was not really near to shilin night market if you are taking metro, taking a cab was quite far too. nothing much near the hotel, quite a quiet environment. They had a gym on the top floor but the place was pretty dark and had nobody there. Had to take to the 9th floor and walk up a dim staircase which I find it quite eerie. breakfast was fine but nothing special.

Theme hotel
Each storey has a theme and I got gold. Very romantic and warm room slightly dimmed and the room was extremely comfortable. The only bad side is the hotel is out of place at a corner of taipei. However it is pretty near the train station and has bus transport to other places and also convenient to get a cab. The cheap price, comfortable accommodation and friendly staff made up for the bad location though. Will be there again in the future.

Unique, clean and pleasant hotel.
The hotel is located in New Taipei City which means that it takes awhile to get to main attractions like Taipei 101, Ximending, etc. However it is located about 5 minutes away from the MRT and there is a direct bus opposite the hotel to Shilin night market. The hotel was very unique in the sense that it had themed floors. We stayed at the "Garden Secret" (or rather "Secret Garden") room whereas my other friends stayed in the "Glass Coloured" (i.e. "Coloured Glass") room. The staff were always very helpful and tried their very best to assist us in all our needs. The rooms were very clean and their tv selection was very good. It is a good hotel choice for new travellers to Taipei who want a safe and pleasant experience. The hotel rates are also reasonable for low-budget travellers.

Overall is OK even though we were put in G level, which is in basement level. The room has no window. The noise from next door's shower faucet is very loud and annoying. It looks like there should be some plumbing work needed. The entire environment is new and clean, staying is very comfortable. Location wise, it is little bit off the center center, even though it is close to a subway station (10-15 minutes walk). The overall experience with this hotel is pleasant. Recommend for budget travel.

It's really a very pleasant hotel, and all of us enjoyed our stay there! The hotel staffs were very friendly, and will guide us when we have any doubts about traveling to the different parts of Taiwan! I will stay there again the next time I go taiwan! The rooms were clean and modern!

Very good compromise
This is a very original hotel (each stair has a specific styled design) close to the metro station. In my case, the quality of the room was excellent and the breakfast rather good. the staff was also very helpful. It's true that it's a bit far from downtown but for the price, that's a very good compromise
