"We have been staying in Silkari for our annual trip to Chatswood. We got a room at Level 2 this time which is noisier and more light pollution. Other than that, it is still good as usual from cleanliness of room to service staff. Location is convenient with shops nearby and parking is a breeze. Won't hesitate to stay here again. Just hope that we won't get a low floor noisy room next time."

"The roon was modern and clean. Ad another $70 to the price of your accommodation for parking(and that is only the overnight price)parking is a couple of blocks away so you have to cart your luggage a fair way. If booking through Hotels.com and the accommodation reads free breakfast make sure you mention that when checking in because staff seem to have no idea about that. City view is not a city view it is of building next door definitely not what is pictured.(false advertising) Breakfast was delicious"

"Our stay was excellent. The location is a little far from the downtown area / Opera House area (it's across the harbor), but the area was quiet. There is a grocery store a 3-minute walk in one direction, and the train station is a 3-minute walk in the other direction. We were able to travel to the downtown area, and other parts of Sydney, easily by using the train. It took about 10 minutes from leaving our hotel room until we got downtown. Our room was clean and spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable. A full kitchenette and washer and dryer in the room allowed us to cook and do laundry. The staff was extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel, even if you're planning to spend a lot of time in the downtown area."

"Homely, well run, older style pub, with clean and comfortable accommodation. Complimentary self-help continental-style breakfast was advertised. Over the weekend, we took care of ourselves from a pre-stocked fridge that wasn’t restocked over the four days I was in residence. The fruit ran out, as did the whole meal bread. This was disappointing. The staff could not have been more helpful in reception or the bar! They were the highlight!"
