Room and facilities were just what we needed for a couple of nights. The area is quite hilly and not near shops, there is some road noise and the driveway is quite steep and narrow, alternative parking in side street. Gardens are lovely. Bus stops adjacent to entrance.

Property was exactly the right size for a one night stay, and Helen and Chris were exceptional in terms of providing whatever you needed, and provided a book with good options if you are visiting of things to do.

Excellent stay in great spot
This is a great b and b in a convenient position. The owners are very welcoming, and not intrusive. The room was cozy and warm, and the bed very comfortable. Loved the breakfast. I would stay here again.

I thought the place was well situated , only 10 km from the CBD. Nice leafy suburb on the River. Owners were nice and very hospitable.

It was very nice to have our own entrance and bath in the garden suite we had. Chris and Helen were very helpful and even provided transit cards to use on the ferry. The room could use a little “deeper” cleaning since there was lots of cobwebs, dust etc. in areas not easily reached - behind TV, bathroom fan. But for the two nights we stayed it was a very good choice.

Friendly and great way to meet fellow travellers. Great location, lots of walks and public transport is good. Hunters Hill shops, restaurant and pub a short walk away. Overall relaxing stay.

Chris and his wife couldn't have been more helpful. They are wonderful hosts, and can give you advice on where to eat, shop etc. was s great stay, but only issue we had was the steepness and angle of the driveway into the property. Needs a bigger sign for them at the entry as we drove past it. Only negative part of our stay.

Friendly Helpful Hosts& close to public transport
Helpful & convivial hospitality on offer, nothing seems to be too much bother. I arrived well before check in time ,hosts Helen and Chris plied me with coffee and conversation while the room was being prepared. I appreciated the breakfasts which offered a variety of cereals & set me up for the day. Table seating arrangements encouraged friendly conversation between guests & host. Information about public transport was helpful and spot on I would rate this home stay as the best I have stayed in

A Great Northern Suburbs Find
I needed somewhere not far from Chatswood so a home-stay with the same name as my wife couldn't be passed up. Finding the place in the dark was difficult and if you have a big car, do not go up the driveway, but there is off-street parking nearby. The room was well appointed and the owners really friendly and accommodating. Nothing was any trouble. Great continental breakfast. The location is superb and the house sell set up. There are plenty of clubs and restaurants a short drive from here and it was only 45 mins from the airport.

Fantastic place and wonderful hosts
Linley House was great - especially the hosts. Chris drove us to our nearby party twice and refused a tip for all the extra service. He also provided a fantastic breakfast. and was a most excellent host. The rooms were very comfy. If driving, you would need to ark around the corner as access is tricky. Would recommend to anyone except those with mobility issues due to steep access. Paul and Sarah

Underwhelming, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
The Ugly - Dangerous Driveway, really really slippery when wet, narrow and steep, it cost me a new tail lamp as I could not get traction in the wet and the car slipped into a wall - No Adequate Parking, made worse if there are other guests with limited driving skills who take up the 2 spots. The Bad, Musty Rising Damp - Ordinary Breakfast - Garden Room, should be renamed the furnished cave. Constant traffic noise. The Good, 1 soft towel and clean.

I am sorry you had difficulty with the driveway. It can be slippery in the wet which is why we say in our instructions that we send the day before arrival, that it is a steep driveway and the alternative parking is nearby from which you only have to walk 50 metres to the driveway. It is a shame you didn't mention any of this while you were staying here so we could have addressed the problems immediately. There was constant rain while you stayed which was unfortunate. There is an air conditioner in the room which I would have expected to remove the damp air. It is stated on the website that it is a continental breakfast so I am sorry if you expected a cooked breakfast.

Lovely stay. Only problem was the initial finding of the driveway into property, then the steepness of the drive. Helen and Chris however were terrific in guiding us around and down whenever we went out. Would be more of a problem if several guests had vehicles.

Chris and Helen did all they could to make you feel welcome. Chris was especially helpful and informative. The breakfast food was simple, nourishing and tasty. The room was warm and welcoming. Very cozy and provided a great nights sleep. The bathroom was odd and the toilet was in a different room than evrything else. We had to share with other guests which at times was inconvenient. The location was on a very steep hill, that was difficult to manuveur for auto or man. You must be in decent physical shape to conquer. In all a nice experience.

Lovely B and B in a great location
The B and B is in an excellent location out of the city but close enough to make it easy to do things in Sydney. The room, was very clean and well set up. It is not large but there is a nice lounge area upstairs. The breakfast that was included was perfect for us and very good quality. The hosts are lovely and very helpful. They make just the right amount of contact and we enjoyed chatting with them. We will certainly stay here again.

Linley House B and B
The B and B was hard to find as it is situated at a curve in a busy road but once there the experience was very good. As I flew in on a late flight the owner kindly extended the check in hour. The garden room was comfortable with everything I needed. The continental breakfast was good with cereal,fruit,yoghurt and croissants or toast.and tea or coffee. I would recommend it.

Facilities are very clean and comfortable. Hosts treat guests as family and encourage use of facilities as "own home". Is located in a bushland type setting close to Lane Cove River.Shopping and transport to CBD is within easy walking distance. An excellent place to stay with super hosts!
