Kitchen was handy to cook food in. Bus stop at the front door and train station 10 min walk away. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Nice, clean, neat room. Bathroom clean and a good size. The lack of onsite parking is a serious drawback if you have mobility problems as parking in adjacent side streets may involve a long walk to the motel.

Ashfield Manor provides good, clean accommodation at an affordable nightly tariff, which also includes a light continental breakfast daily.Your point about car parking is very valid, we can provide only limited off street parking as mentioned on our website. Luckily free parking is available in residential streets surrounding Ashfield Manor. Hopefully we will see you again in the future.

It's a simple place that is clean and comfortable. What i didn't like was that prior to booking I searched for PARKING as i had to drive from interstate. There are 37 rooms and TWO car parks. I'm sorry but that does not count as parking or even limited parking. You can not park in the street as it is a TOW-AWAY zone. As a result I had to park around 700m away and cross some very dark parkland in order to get to and from my vehicle. Parking MUST mean available for your guests ... not if you are lucky...

Staff very welcoming even as I only stayed 1 night. Everything you need is available. Close to leagues club for dinner. They welcome interstate guests.

Ashfield Manor is an old building that is presented as well as it can be. It is located a short walk from Ashfield Station and it’s not far to the city by train. Mariella is efficient and helpful, as is the staff member that makes up the rooms. We appreciated being able to use the guest kitchen, dining areas; inside and the lovely outdoor courtyard, as well as the breakfast provisions. It is a shame there aren’t many car parks but we managed by parking in the side street some of the time. The slight downside to our stay is that at times we felt like we were encroaching on the space of some of the long staying guests. Overall we would recommend Ashfield Manor for a short stay in Sydney.

It is such a shame that you gave us a bad review score. I realize that it was because you were not satisfied with your room type. Unfortunately that is the room that you yourself booked and paid for. We did our utmost to upgrade you with availability but were not able to for your whole stay as we did not have availability. Possibly next time you should check the room type that you are actually paying for before completed your reservation.

Great price. Great location. Very clean. It was super windy so the old style windows rattled. Beds are pretty comfortable. Their pillows are clean and in good condition but mostly one style in the room, so if you are particular about your pillow, take your own. We'd definitely stay there again.

Every thing was good except there was a car parked down the driveway with a car cover over it. we were there on Thursday when we had all that rain. The car was outside our room and the heavy rain was falling on the cover keeping us awake nearly all night. thanking you cliff

Great price. Good breakfast choices although continental, but included in the price. Just what I needed for a one night stay after attending a nearby function. Could have used some extra blankets in the room as I needed to leave the air conditioner on all night. Simple and small but comfy. Excellent service from helpful receptionist.

Clean, well run and value for money. Bit noisy with traffic and planes during the day but all quietens down in the evenings and comfy bed meant a good night’s rest. Very convenient for Sydney centre by train - a ten minute walk and Ashfield has good restaurants and food shops. Nice park around the corner too.

Free breakfast is cereal and bread, you can make your own toast. Also have to wash the dishes after! Room clean but did have some cockroaches. Was within easy walk of train stations and Sydney. Our room was very noisy as it was at the front of the hotel, and could hear a washing machine all night.

It is unfortunate regarding the intrusion of the extra unwanted guests. Our Australian climate makes it very hard sometimes. Regarding the washing machine that you could hear all night, I'm a little concerned as we lock the laundry at 9pm and it is towards the back of the building anyway. My apologies anyway and we hope you had a good stay

We enjoyed our stay
We were comfortable. The room was clean and it was reasonably priced. The train is about 6 or 7 minutes away on foot, which we were comfortable with. Bathroom/shower and breakfast provided were satisfactory.

Terrible Managment
On arrival the door of the property was locked no door bell in plain sight so then my wife tap on the door to contact managment the female owner came to door then started ranting and raving accused us both of banging the door down what a LIE. Her voice was so high a guest came out to see what the noise was all about. Is this the way you treat all your guest what respect you have. Also problem with the shower only about one ft wide to enter the shower and the towels were that old and warn that it was a waste of time using them. And no phone inside the room to contact each other if need be.

It displeases me to read a review like this. I would like to say that I am not a Liar, and I always put the comfort and needs of my guests first. It seems that you have changed the events to make me look bad. I know that we always strive to provide our guests with excellent service and that is why I am not going to comment, it is apparent in majority of our reviews and I hope that our guests can see through yours.
