Lovely clean and new hotel in a great quiet location at Darling harbour. Everything you need is available, and the buffet breakfast is fabulous, with lovely hot barista made coffee. Would stay again.

Construction happening right under the hotel made our experience really bad. We chose this hotel for 2 nights and paid for the room with the harbour view to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary. Every morning there was construction starting from 7.30 am. Would not recommend anyone to choose this place if you’re a light sleeper. Spend your money somewhere else

Nice rooms and convenient location. Excellent breakfast. As at early April there are works taking place by the pool. Would recommend generally with one caveat- its worth noting that (unlike many other hotel chain loyalty schemes) Accor will not give loyalty points for stays booked via Expedia.

I expected it’s a 5 star hotel but I found a few small insects in the toilet & the washbasin was clogged….. other than it’s a great hotel.

The room does not provide bottled water, and it is disappointing to use environmentally friendly reasons.Why was it provided on the day of the check in? Outdoor construction greatly affects rest.

Bottled water is available in the mini bar of each room. Should this not have been available in your mini bar, then we have not replenished the mini bar appropriately. We stayed at this hotel because of the large mall and numerous restaurants and cafes; it turned out the mall had been demolished and restaurants closed; ongoing construction every day and each taxi ride to anywhere was very expensive. Nice hotel but extremely inconvenient

Whilst Harbourside is no longer in front of the hotel, we are very lucky to be within walking distance of restaurants, bars and cafes along the wharf as well as in Darling Quarter. We are also within walking distance to a variety of shops in the CBD. I am disappointed our team did not communicate this effectively during your recent visit. Light rail service is literally across the hotel, with one direction to Chinatown and another direction to fish market. On the other side of the hotel is the water front of Darling Harbour. Highly recommend

It was a family getaway, the room was very comfortable with amazing views of the harbour. The hotel is well placed, very close to all the restaurants & entertainments. The service was impressive. All the staffs were very friendly, accommodating, efficient & professional. Overall experience was amazingly awesome. We would come back again.

Always feels special staying at the Sofitel Darling Harbour. The staff are wonderful, always helpful and visible, anticipating your needs. The pool is great, the Champagne bar served us excellent cocktails, and the club sandwich from room service is delicious!

Cons: # It is expensive: 500 AUD a night for 2 double beds. # Our room faces West, the sun is at its peak in the afternoon. The room is hot. The air conditioning is not enough to cool the room in the afternoon. Can only go down to 18 Deg C # Parking and bottled water is not included. Additional 86 AUD per night parking. Pro: # The hotel is new and clean. # Concierge service is excellent. The rest is average.

Great hotel, great location
We visited the Sofitel darling harbour for a 5 night stay with our three month old and couldn’t have been happier. This hotel is in a great location and hotel staff are exceptional I especially loved the soft toy and baby slippers gifted to us on arrival

Everthing was excellent. But we did not like you make customers to stand in a queue at breakfast time. There should be a just one person from your team at the enterancedesk to ask simply the room number that's it. And regarding the the table, you must have a system from filling the tables as first come first serve from darling hoarbour side to backward side to tains station side. You must have a mixed arrangement of Tables also from waterview side to backwards to train station side, for 2xpeople, 4 people, 6 people and 8 people. Vegetarian dishes must be added in Breakfast. and you must change everyday to new dishes. We noticed you have everyday same same dishes. Which is very bore. We also noticed that you did not kept enough serving (big spoon) near each dishes. The very first dish was NON-Veg of Mashed Eggs and secong one was (Veg.) fried Mushrooms. Becasue we werea vegetarian family and noticed that there was only one big spoon for Non-veg ( mashed Eggs) ad to take the Mshrooms (Veg. Dishes) . Vegetarian Dishes must me increased, as the non-veg people can take them happily, but Non-veg dishes cannot be taken by any vegetarian customers. Hope you must consider at least 4 to 5 vegetarian dishes in Breakfast Buffet and very important is that you must keep all VEGETARIAN / VEGAN dishes in separate corner in order to waste time for checking where is teh vegetarian dishes. And there will no need to bother for serving spoon as the there will no NON-Veg Pan nearby .
