"It’s a wonderful location, being right on the beach; a short boardwalk and you’re there; there is also a pool however a cold front came through and sadly missed out on the beach / pool fun but the pictures represent well The hotel property itself is quite aged; it really needs a lot of updating; our room was quite spacious and we had a balcony with beach view if you looked hard to the right; it was just the two of us so we could spread out pretty easily and that was nice; the beds and pillows were very comfortable-in fact, we slept very well; the room darkening shades probably helped; the showerhead was fabulous! It’s a tub shower, but the water pressure was incredible! The restaurant in the lobby is quite good as noted by many other reviewers The lobby, staff, restaurant staff and really anybody that you talk to in the hotel were all very kind and helpful The laundry area was very convenient; it was very clean and the washer and dryers are free for use, but you need to bring detergent or money to pay for their machine dispensed detergent. It is far from the historic downtown so you can’t walk there; but it’s not too bad of a drive either. Maybe 7 miles???? There are several other restaurants just outside of the hotel, however that are within walking distance; if you like ice cream, you have to go to Mayday, which is near the hotel; there is also a mini golf and quite a few beach restaurants with live music. (a guy and a guitar type thing.)"

"Room AC rattled and screeched all night long. Parking fee to park at the hotel was unexpected and unreasonable."

"A well positioned hotel, with clean rooms, and very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are laid out smartly, TVs are nice, AC worked to keep the room cool, and showers were hot. Spacious closet space helped for an extended weekend stay. Not a lot parking space however"

"Room was clean and bedding were clean. The continental breakfast was good with a mix of hot food, cereal, yogurt, and bagels/ toast. Coffee was really weak but the offer both coffee and tea along with an assortment of juices. The $5 a day air conditioned bus to and from historic downtown was great!"

"It’s a very old place . The staff were very accommodating.some of the stuff in our room did not work .clock,microwave. The breakfast was ok like many breakfast served with room but the building it was served in was very hot . Had no fan or air conditioning. Needs a little talc "
