"We could not stay because I had a bad bicycle accident 30 minutes after check in. owner never offered to reschedule since I was in the hospital and could not use the accomodations. My inn keeper was friendly. However the 1st floor was incredibly messy. Surprisingly messy and dusty . I was quite uncomfortable. However our 2nd floor room was clean and tidy. parking was provided. And, it is across from a lovely park and a block away from a famous pretzel shop."

"Pleasant, friendly owners who provided information and suggestions on what to do and where to dine in the area. Breakfast, drinks, coffee, tea and delicious cookies provided. We visited Pere Marquette and the Grafton area and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere in Elsah There are shops, a museum and trails in Elsah, we sat out on the covered patio on a nice afternoon Room was very clean and inviting. Bed was very comfortable as were the chairs. Linens and towels were nice and thick. Talking...
