"The rooms are quite dated, the majority of the pictures shown are for the first floor rooms while the ground floor rooms are lot more dated and feel like the disparity is quite big. The room itself has two bathrooms and the ensuite had a very foul smell when we first entered and the second bathroom had a damp odour to it. The ensuite smell went away after the first night, but the second bathroom smells got worse over time as the ventilator was not working which we mentioned to the property...

"My wife and I had a lovely stay in Charlestown at Honeysuckle Cottage for 5 nights. The house is well equipped and 10 minutes walk from the famous historic harbour which we were visiting for the first time. The nearest pub is even closer. There is limited parking outside the cottage but plenty of free street parking nearby. As it was, we were lucky and only once could not park near the cottage. There is a dehumidifier in the kitchen. It should be pointed out that this needs emptying of water...

"This accomodation is amazing, however if you are taking a pet dog you need to know that the beach/local paths do not allow dogs between end of March to October. Not clear in hotels.com info. We walked from the local path down towards the beach saw the sign saying no dogs on the beach so walked by the quay side- unbeknown to us due to poor signage was also no dogs, only to be aggressive confronted by a nasty local man. Put a bit of a downer on being in such a nice property so close to beach."

This could be superb if the Owners upgraded a few items such as signage to identify where the unit is, motion detection lights on the very dark entrance alley, toilet roll holders (!) and change the carpets and some furniture. "Best about the accomodation is being on top of the hill overlooking the sea. Comfortable for a group of 4 persons. Nice hot shower, spacious twin bedroom with bath, cozy place to rest at the end of the day after Eden project and St Ives. Malcolm and Linda were reached able via mobile and email. We didn't have a car but the flat is near St Austell train station, itโ€™s about 25 mins walk. There are buses.But Taxi difficult to book, long waiting time."
