"Spacious rooms, clean and a beautiful view of the beach. The staff was super friendly and breakfast was great. This was an ideal spot for a family with kids! Easy access to the beach and many pool options. "

"Room was clean and staff was helpful. Not so good was one day one of the 5 pools heater was not working well and was 78 not 87. And the hot tubs indoors were in need of cleaning. Beach view was great and fold out couch was nice. Also they do not provide any beach chairs or towels even though you see them in the picture the chairs are from the city and the lifeguard charges $65 a day for two chairs and an umbrella. Also no vallet parking which is a pain."

"Had a very nice day at the hotel. It was quiet the rooms were clean and the bed was ultra comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast and eating it by the pool or by the pond in the back. Plenty of wildlife around and close to the beach and Broadway on the beach. I was there too is it a family member but I also made time for myself as well. Nice day would definitely come back. Love the 24-hour free coffee as well 😁"

"Complained about hearing loud neighbors through the adjoining door; however, was told by desk associate that nothing could be done and to check back at 11 am. After the people next door were still being loud at 1:30 am we made the decision to switch hotels. The next day we returned to Island Vista and explained our issue, the desk associate couldn't believe how we were treated and was apologetic; however, the manager, although he could hear our conversation, couldn't be bothered to come out of...

"Hotel area was great. We loved the room category- ocean front king. Staff were amazing!! Some concerns though- Hotel needs to invest in grocery carts for when people arrive with groceries and luggage. The only racks available were luggage racks. Also- we were not impressed with the poor state of the hotel towels around the pool. They were more like rags than towels. One big problem is the internet- we were 4 people in two rooms and we were always getting booted off- so annoying. Other than that...

"Dunes Village was ok. If you have a big family with children maybe 14 and under this would be a good place for you because of the water parks, the lazy river and the pools outside for the smaller kids. The hotel needs to be renovated all over. We were in room 142 and the bathroom def needs upgrading really bad, the top cover had a few stains on it, they didn’t clean that well bc the tub had hair in it, not chunks but pieces to where you can tell they did a half job cleaning. "Nothing to like except for front desk staff. 1st. Ad says on the beach...it wasn't 2nd. Room smelled like bleach so bad it was hard to breathe. Front desk person came up and sprayed something that only helped for a couple hours. 3rd. mold on lamp shade. 4th. Broken lamp shade 5th after shower walked to the bed and bottom of my feet were black with dirt. Took a clean damp towel wiped small area of floor and it was filthy. 6th air conditioner barely worked. Had reserved 2 nights did not stay 2nd...
