Find the best Myrtle Beach areas for the activities you enjoy most.

Downtown Myrtle Beach

City centre Myrtle Beach brings the classic American beach holiday to life with its lively boardwalk and golden shores. The iconic SkyWheel lights up the skyline while Ripley's attractions draw curious crowds. Ocean breezes mix with the sweet scent of funnel cakes as families stroll along the 1.2-mile wooden promenade. This entertainment hub offers something for everyone throughout the day and evening. Beachgoers can soak up the sun before exploring arcades and amusement rides at Family Kingdom. Live music spills from oceanfront bars while souvenir shops beckon with colourful displays. The area's walkable design means you can enjoy it all without needing a car.

This exclusive oceanfront enclave features contemporary coastal architecture with manicured landscapes framing spectacular water vistas. Sophisticated lounges and oceanview dining spots serve fresh seafood and steakhouse fare. Walkable pathways and boardwalks connect amenities throughout the community. Visitors appreciate the quieter atmosphere compared to central Myrtle Beach locations.

Central Myrtle Beach

Central Myrtle Beach captures the essence of Atlantic coastal fun with its iconic SkyWheel and vibrant boardwalk scene. Stroll along Ocean Boulevard where neon lights and ocean breezes create a classic beach town atmosphere. The wide sandy beaches invite relaxation while nearby entertainment keeps the energy high. Visitors can enjoy everything from mini-golf to live music venues without needing a car. Myrtlewood Golf Club awaits just beyond the beachfront hustle.

Resort amenities include upscale seafood dining and private beach access points with well-maintained boardwalks.

Golden Mile

The Golden Mile stands out as Myrtle Beach's premium stretch of Atlantic coastline. Luxury oceanfront resorts and upscale condominiums line the wide, sandy beaches. This more refined section offers a higher-end experience than other parts of the popular beach destination. Between beach time, visitors can enjoy mini-golf courses, seafood restaurants with ocean views, and stylish rooftop bars. Palm-lined boardwalks provide perfect sunset strolling opportunities. 8/10 Good
"The property was nice for the price. Itโ€™s an old hotel that was renovated with a decent budget. We stayed in room 412 at the Sailfish Tower Bad: I donโ€™t like that the ac units were by the windows and right be side the beds. The floors were cleaned before we got there and upon checking into the room they were still wet. Some of the water absorbed into the spacing between the vinyl and if you walked on those areas water would come through. When you turned the AC off it started to smell mildewy. A few of the pillow cases had rust spots on them. The bathroom towels were not a great quality (really thin). Good: Location! Great views of the beach and proximity to a ton of amenities. Starbucks, Ben and Jerryโ€™s and plenty of restaurants. The kitchen was nice and clean with good appliances. The bathroom setup was nice too. The staff was extremely welcoming too. The pools were really nice too."
