"Had a wonderful time just north of The Dells a wee bit. My wife and I highly recommend The Lodge at Mauston! If you’re looking for a getaway just a short drive from southern or central Wisconsin, or wherever you’re from. Go to the nearby state parks and roam around the countryside or visit The Dells. "Amazing pool area and arcade! However, the room smelled heavily of new construction fumes, which agitated my asthma, and brown goo dripped on me from a ceiling vent. The hotel’s response was to send someone to clean out the vent. They left the sopping wet towels on the floor. The windows don’t open so no way to air out the room. They charge you for each piece of disposable toiletry ($2 for the same toothbrush that every other hotel hands out for free). I expected better for a room that costs...
