Good soundproofing as it felt like the whole of Bridport was out celebrating the life of a much loved local lost too soon. "If you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only £10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it."

"Es war ein toller Aufenthalt in einem wunderschönen renovierten Pub! Wir haben zu fünft als Familie in der golden suite mit Strandblick gewohnt. Absolut gut war auch das Essen, das Frühstück war jeden Tag unglaublich lecker, und auch abends haben wir sehr gut gegessen! Wir haben es sehr genossen im West Bay Hotel!"

"The George is ideally located in the center of town near to a bus stop. Everything about our stay was wonderful; a large en-suite room beautifully decorated with large bathroom. We ate dinner at the George day of arrival which was delicious and breakfast was fabulous. I highly recommend the George. "

"Met the owners upon arrival. Lovely couple that were very informative, reviewed the property, how the main gathering room is handled and how breakfast runs. He showed us to our room and went over everything. We stayed 2 nights. He recommended several qrea restaurants. The breakfast was great. Very efficiently handled. Room dies have air conditioning.
