"Great family run business. Love the Jamaican vibe, unfortunately they didn’t do food on a Monday or Tuesday so didn’t get chance to sample. Bed was extremely comfortable too and good hot water pressure in the bathroom. "

"This is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks....

"We stayed for two nights in order to attend a wedding in Hailsham. The hotel’s at a spacious area and pleasant surroundings. The checkin was speedy. We were pleasantly surprised about how spacious and comfortable and clean our room was. The way the bed was ‘decorated’ gave us the feeling of a welcoming gesture from the hotel. Everywhere in the room is spotless and the decoration is warm and refreshing. We were served by a lovely lady at the restaurant where we dined although the food was...

"Perfect hotel for an overnight stay to collect daughter from uni. Clean room, quiet location (back of property) Breakfast was just right, with help from waiter offering coffee, tea, toast, juice etc. Will definitely stay again. "
