"Lovely old style building, rooms were nice and warm despite the cold weather and I loved the bath - though it would have been nice to have some bath salts or bubble bath. Soft mattress which I liked but my partner struggled with. The mini wine and kitkats were a nice surprise however we would have liked to know in advance that the restaurant and bar were not open at night especially given it was a long weekend. "While this is a beautiful old hotel, it does come with some issues. The HVAC in our room did not work. We asked 3 times to get fixed. Luckily the windows can open but the street noise was very loud. The shower was nice but water splashed everywhere due to the small glass door and very slippery. Dated but full of charm. Not a 5 star but perhaps a 4."

"all was good until we went to have breakfast. i was well aware that i was going to pay for my breakfast but the lady that was taking room numbers while walking into the area for breakfast said it load enough for all to hear that because we did not book to include breakfast that we would have to pay for it. both me and my husband were so embarressed and humiliated that we walked out. Also our room for the four days that we were there was never vacumed. I mentioned this to the front desk on day 2."
