"Proper traditional hotel, great staff, nice rooms and good breakfast choices. Onsite (paying) car park. Shops, historic waterfront and ferry port all within walking distance. Look forward to staying here again."

"A Few Things That Could Be IMPROVED I would like to warn future guests who are planning to use the swimming pool and spa facilities about something that we found very inconvenient during our stay. "Cannot fault the Halfway House Pub. Stayed here for 4 nights..Friendly welcome shown our room by Mike. All staff friendly and helpful. Room was excellent spotless and uensuite was great. Breakfast was very good. Ate here twice in the evening and food was excellent. Great evening spent listening to the Sea Shanty choir. Dog friendly.. No car park but public car park £5 for 24 hours. Will definitely be staying again. Thanks to all staff at the Halfway House."

"The room was utilitarian, at best, and cold. Staff were unable to get the heat turned on. After 2 days of requests a space heater was finally provided."

"Great welcome, very helpful and great location"

"Lovely scenic area around the property. Very quiet, clean and American style motel."

"Lovely hotel, great location, very comfortable bedding and spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend them to anyone."

"Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at. Food at breakfast was very nice 👍"
