"Great location, friendly long term staff, nice charm and well maintained for an older house. Two things worth noting is the bed was sunk in the middle and could use an update, and the wifi had very slow speeds. However we would stay here again."

"The room is large, bright, clean, well laid out and the bed is very comfortable. The kitchenette was well stocked with everything we needed,
The staff at the front desk, especially the two young New Zealanders, were always friendly and helpful,
In addition, we also enjoyed the Aegir Room, the in house restaurant. I had their
sea food chowder and it was the best chowder I have ever had and I have tried many."

"Excellent staff. Very clean room, and throughout the hotel, which is a very short stroll to the Inner Harbour area. Balcony has no table or chairs.
Dining room very nice but cooked breakfast has scrambled egg, sausages and tater totters …quite boring , cold food is OK.
Considering breakfast is included in hotel booking price, it’s a good deal."

"I always stay at the Royal Scot when I visit Victoria. It's surprisingly quiet and low key, but only one block away from the water and from the Parliament buildings. It's cozy and friendly, but not TOO friendly. I can't recommend it more highly."
