"Stayed for Crufts, 4th/6th March. Returned first day from Arena at 3.45 pm and room had not been serviced. Tried to phone Reception to find out phone did not work! Had to go to Reception, told fresh towels would be sent within minutes. ONE HOUR later, returned to Reception to ask for Duty Manager. Young man seemed blinkered as to the problem. Deputy Housekeeper on the ball and very apologetic."

"Had low expectations of a motorway services hotel but was pleasantly surprised. Arrived late and had a really pleasant welcome by the guy in reception. Asked where I was off to in the morning and pleased he did as he told me about the shortcut to get back on the M6 southbound. Saved me a 20mile detour. Lady in the morning was also very pleasant. Room was clean and quiet for a hotel on the M6. Was great value for a bed for the night. "

"We didn’t use the spa. I think the property could do with a bit of updating in terms of decor but for what we needed, the hotel was perfectly adequate."

"We arrived around 4:30, the carpark was busy and the restaurant really busy - wasn’t an issue for us as we were going out. The reception is away from the hustle and bustle of the bar/ restaurant which was good. The room was big enough, but the beds are really small. My husband had to go and ask for another room (on his own) as the double was bearly wide enough for both of us, let alone long enough. … so if you are over 5’8 you will struggle. "Front of house looks quite good when you arrive, with friendly staff but everthing else from room cleanliness, to working electrics in the room, to choice and quality of breakfast, definetely needs some TLC. However, it was a good price and has free parking so, for what I needed (3 nights solo accomodation whilst helping my son do some DIY on his house) it was adequate. "

"I unfortunately booked for the wrong month. Having emailed the hotel to ask to change the booking they referred straight to their cancellation policy with absolutely no flexibility. Considering it’s a huge hotel and it was an honest mistake I am very disappointed with their response. I wouldn’t rebook based on this. "
