Die Gegend drumherum wirkt ein wenig heruntergekommen. Den Stadtstrand von Ierapetra erreicht man innerhalb von 2 Gehminuten, Tavernen und Bars an der Strandpromenade sind ebenfalls innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen. "Fabulous stay at the Ostria Apartments. We stayed for three nights in the Executive Room which had a large terrace with sun beds, sofa, table and umbrella. All the exceptionally clean rooms have recently been refurbished to a very high standard and they all have fabulous views of the bay. Dimitris, the owner was a brilliant and generous host throughout, arranging taxis etc. He also runs an excellent drinks and snack bar next to the pool.
