Das Apartment befindet sich etwa außerhalb des Stadtkerns von Ierapetra, die Rezeption im Hotel Coral ist fußläufig innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Gegend drumherum wirkt ein wenig heruntergekommen. Den Stadtstrand von Ierapetra erreicht man innerhalb von 2 Gehminuten, Tavernen und Bars an der Strandpromenade sind ebenfalls innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen. Das Apartment selbst ist teilrenoviert, vieles wurde notdürftig geflickt. Insgesamt ist es sehr klein und bietet kaum Ablagemöglichkeiten und keine Sitzgelegenheit außer auf dem Bett. Außerdem ist es sehr hellhörig. Das Bad schien nicht renoviert, die Dusche war nicht sauber und in der Duschwanne befinden sich viele Risse. Sowohl im Bad selbst als auch in der Dusche ist es wegen der Enge kaum möglich, sich zu bewegen. Die Küche ist spartanisch ausgestattet, allerdings gibt es eine Filterkaffeemaschine, eine Nespressomaschine, einen Sandwichtoaster und eine Herdplatte. Das Geschirr war nicht besonders sauber, der Kühlschrank auch nicht. Der Zimmerservice kam erst auf Nachfrage. Wenn man nur eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit benötigt, ist das Apartment für 1-2 Nächte in Ordnung, für erholsamen Urlaub meiner Meinung nach nicht der richtige Ort. Die Fotos und die Hotelbeschreibung haben mehr versprochen.

OK for a day or two ...

So the positive things first: the location is great, two steps from the beach. The Waikiki Beach Bar rents sun beds for EUR 3.50 per day which includes the price of the first drink so it's a good deal. The beach is OK with some tricky areas to get into the water but all in all, fine for a day or two. The apartments are also only a short stroll away from restaurants and shops so really, I would say the location is perfect if you are looking for some life and action. The apartments are nicely decorated in a modern style which I find appealing. The negatives - for me - outweigh the positives. The first thing that hit me was the very strong perfumed smell in the apartment. I traced it down to the curtains which I thought was rather strange. The second thing was the size of the rooms which are teeny tiny itsy bitsy with a very small kitchen. They have very, very skilled photographers working for them, that is for sure. Also, the apartments are very poorly insulated so basically you feel like you share a room with your neighbours. Every time a tap is opened, a chair is moved, a conversation is had ... you will hear it. I always sleep with earplugs so sleeping was fine for me. The windows do not have bug screens so do not open the window, mosquitos will just charge in. The hotel also doesn't provide any mosquito plugs which is usual on this island. Please go discover the rest of the island, there are some AMAZING places to stay, this is not one of them.

My first visit to Lerapetra

I stayed here with my daughter, son and grandson. The hotel were very accommodating as we arrived early hours and we were met by a extremely helpful and polite housekeeper who showed us to our hotel. She also provided us with information about the best places to eat. We travelled to Sanrorini for a couple of days and the receptionist at the coral boutique apartment was very helpful as I needed to store my luggage. The apartments are within walking distance to the beach, bars and restaurants. In my opinion the photographs of the rooms are very deceptive and make the rooms look much bigger than they actually are. The rooms are clean and functional and I would recommend staying here.

Koselig hotell med sjel.

Koselig hotell med sjel. Ankom seint på natta og vart godt mottatt, med ost og kjeks. Stor leilighet med balkong, med utsikt utover havet. Trivelig vertskap og koselig by. Kjem gjerne tilbake.

Un bon plan pour séjourner à Ierapetra

Nous n'avons passé qu'une nuit et donc peu profité de la petite cuisine qui peut être utile pour un séjour plus long. Attention, il n'y a pas d'accueil et il faut téléphoner au gérant qui vient vous remettre les clés dans les 5 minutes. Le centre ville est à 200 m à pied.

modernes Apartment auf ca. 25 m2

Das Apartment vereint auf ca. 25 m2 eine Miniküche, das Schlafzimmer, das Bad und einen Miniflur. Es ist modern ausgestattet, das Haus hat auch einen Fahrstuhl. Es besitzt leider nur eine(!) Herdplatte (nur für Tütensuppen geeignet), einen Wasserkocher, einen 135l-Kühlschrank, teilweise Küchenausstattung (Schneidbrettchen, Kochmesser, Korkenzieher waren leider nicht vorhenden; der Toaster sollte nachgeliefert werden, SOLLTE!). Das Hauptproblem des Apartments ist, dass es außer zwei Barhockern keine Sitzmöglichkeiten gibt. Die Lautstärke der Straße war im 1. Stock gerade noch erträglich, da die Terasse einen Teil des Lärms abschirmt; im Erdgeschoss (ebenerdig) stelle ich es mir weniger lustig vor. Nach der Dusche musste man sich im Flur abtrocknen, da dies im Bad ( bin 1,75m hoch; 60kg) nicht möglich war.
