"The building works currently taking place in the hotel destroyed the experience as was woken up in the early hours of the morning to banging and drilling. No advance warning was given to guests which I thought was incredibly frustrating."

"Great location and the restaurant was excellent, however no privacy curtains in room and the room lacked air con. Bathroom needs a refresh. Paying £6 a day on top of the room charge, which isn't cheap, creates a bad feeling about the place. Also this process of biding for an upgrade, just to get a decent room, is unpleasant. Just tell me the price!!"

No aircon which isn’t normally a problem. The shower is over the bath which is a bit difficult to get in and out. Restaurant and bar both food plenty of choice. Our 4th visit and we will return"

"Excellent stay with an extremely friendly check in with a lovely lady called Joy on reception. Room was very spacious and quiet with a modern, clean bathroom and great shower pressure. Very comfortable bed. Plenty of free parking, nice restaurants and bars nearby as well as shopping. Will definitely stay here again when flying from Birmingham Airport."

"What a fantastic stay! Parking right next door (public carpark), and the hotel is directly opposite Shakespeare’s New Place house. The front of the building is the old Tudor Falcon Inn which is a really spectacular building and they have respected the interiors which is nice. "The steps up to the rooms are quite steep. Room 21 was very small; it is much smaller than any room we’ve stayed in before. Managing two large suitcases required strategic piecemeal unpacking and repacking. The twin beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent."
