"Perfect for a weekend get away. Very convenient for riding the Virginia Scenic Railroad (1.5 block walk), American Shakespeare Center (next door), historic District (2 blocks), Woodrow Wilon library ( a little farther maybe 4-5 blocks?)."

"Don't accept a stay in Room #105. The exterior door leading into building at end of hall slams and can be a real bother if traffic is high. There are no directions for use of tv control devices. All controls are not alike."

"The assistant manager that we talked to a couple of times (and checked us in) was very helpful in offering suggestions on activities/dining. The room was spacious and a good value. Everything was clean. The afternoon tea and cookies was nice. They have a large pool available; however, the advertising stated it was heated, but it felt pretty cold. Overall, good value and would stay again!"

"Book directly with hotel website and avoid third party. We arrived late and lucky got last room on property, but it was king with single roll out couch.. not the two queens I booked. Not comfortable with two boys over 6 feet and my wife. Two other guests showed up after us through third party and did not get a room even with reservations!"

"The hotel was conveniently located close to the highway, restaurants and gas stations. The facility was clean and the staff were helpful."

"I like that there are still some bank features on doors, entryway, elevator, lobby and the vault seating area. Not sure about wheelchair access as there is a ledge at the entryway, maybe they have a ramp but doors to elevator not super wide. There is no pool or fitness area in hotel and not sure where ice machine is but there was a mini fridge and ice bucket and coffee and tea maker on the room. The room - king- was spacious. "New, clean, quiet, modern property. Great location for I81 and downtown Staunton. Very good buffet breakfast - not just a continental as many offer. Perfect for a one night stay passing through."

"I usually stay at the Madison when in Harrisonburg visiting family. This time our stay was not its usual five stars . Noise in the hallways and outside late night kept me From sleeping well . Dirty carpet in room . Scratchy sheets . We stayed Saturday night so not sure I will stay there again and maybe stay at a b and b in countryside ."

"The hotel is walking distance to the downtown restaurants/shops, Washington and Lee University, VMI. Very relaxing pool area with Hot tub, nice shaded areas, comfortable seating. Nice area for breakfast, food choices were ok. Staff was very nice."
