"I reported my room wouldn't lock. The manager came but was unable to sort the matter. I wasn't offered another room as they were fully booked nor was I offered compensation! I slept with the waste bin at an angle so I would hear an intrusion. As a single lady traveller, I won't be going back!"

"Very attractive exterior with colourful hanging baskets and tubs - clearly well looked after. Food was extremely good, both dinner and breakfast offered a fantastic choice. My single ensuite was small but perfectly fine with an efficient shower, tea/coffee facilities and TV, although internet was prone to buffering. Would certainly go back again."

We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time. Nothing we didn't like, beautiful hanging baskets, beer terrace, a very popular, dog friendly pub, thanks."

"We only stayed overnight as at a wedding at Hodsock Priory, this is an ideal hotel for the venue as only few minutes away. The rooms are lovely, very clean and modern, I particularly liked the mirrors in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, good choices available and just what we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We want to go back and try the evening meals another time. Definitely recommend the hotel though."
