During my stay, there was a leak from the shower pipe that threatened to soak up to the ceiling. However, the hotel staff acted very quickly and immediately moved me to a different room. To my surprise, the new room was even larger than the original one. I am deeply grateful for their prompt action and wonderful hospitality. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location, clean, and nice service as a gentleman staff member helped me and my elderly parents with our luggage to the uber. The cafe attached had great pastries we bought everyday from and the rooftop bar on 13th fl had an incredible view. Good for getting mulitple beds and large rooms as it was very spacious. The rooms were clean, but the beds were kinda rock hard. They placed a board underneath the mattress of something. Couple frustrations, the lighting buttons were a pain to figure out, even til the last of our 10th day and annoyingly only had a main pad and not near the bed or bathroom. The AC was a huge problem as there was no way to set a temperature so we literally had to turn it on and off throughout the night as it would be too cold on and as soon as you turn it off, it would raise the room temp to 85° F despite it only being 65° outside. We lost a lot of sleep due to this odd remote controlled AC.

Very clean, centrally located hotel within walking distance of the subway, buses, restaurants, and medical offices. The staff is professional, polite, and extremely helpful, especially Alex, Ezno, David, and Koeo, who go above and beyond to make your stay convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

I came for laser eye surgery with Bright Eye Clinic and LYJ was close by! Came before check in, able to park my luggage right in front of the desk so I could explore the town before the 3 pm check-in time. Friendly desk agents and tried their best language wise. English was good my needs. Line 9, Sinnonyeon Station is right outside. It is convenient. You have to use Naver to navigate. Google doesn't work. Breakfast is not included. If you are getting facial surgery and need a low salt option, the rice porridge and fried rice options were good that I ate it all 5 days. They also have typical bacon and hardboiled or scrambled eggs and toast if you need western style. They will check your room before dining to make sure you paid for the meal. Clean room, and you're provided water bottles everyday in your room. Beds are too hard for those used the States. I slept well (age 40), but my 50 and 59 year old family members had a rough time. The closet has your robes and instant coffee/tea options. I don't remember a kettle, but there was a hot water dispenser downstairs in the breakfast room. Internet is okay. Remote for the TV took some time to get used to, but there is laminated instructions on the desk. We logged into Netflix fine. You need to have the room key in the slot by the door to make the lights/AC work. Shower is gloriously hot. Toilet flushes well and tolerates toilet paper. This hotel is very close to the busy streets for food and shopping. I'd come again!

The staff was amazing. The bed was kinda hard and should I say that the following day of my stay I saw a blood stain on my bedsheet that I thought I bled. I called for room service and they were fast to change it. Overall my stay was great just wish they could put more effort in cleaning the room.

I stayed at Designers LYJ Hotel for 3 weeks with a breakfast package for two while undergoing surgery at Braun Plastic Surgery. The location is excellent; only a 5-minute walk from Braun and close to restaurants, shopping, cafés, and convenience stores. The hotel felt safe, and the housekeeping staff were honest, respectful, and trustworthy. Alex, the General Manager, and front desk staff Enzo and Yang were kind, professional, and very helpful. Breakfast was simple but repetitive. My son stopped going after the fourth day because he grew tired of the menu. My elderly mother continued going by herself and occasionally took a small amount of food for herself to eat later in the room since, after surgery, we couldn't finish full meals at once. We later learned the hotel has a policy against taking breakfast food to guest rooms, which we respect. However, a friendlier explanation from the beginning would have made the situation much more comfortable. Instead, my mother felt closely watched, which made her uncomfortable. Alex kindly upgraded our room after we shared our concerns. After that, we simply ordered takeout and ate together in our room. Overall, the hotel is convenient for short stays, especially if you're visiting Braun Plastic Surgery. For a longer stay, however, I would probably choose a more comfortable hotel or an Airbnb. If you're visiting Seoul in July or August, be prepared for hot, humid and wet.
