"Amazing views of water and sunsets. Nice pool (but too cold to use in April). Very good breakfast. Had 2 dinners in restaurant and they were excellent. Our room was small but had a nice balcony to watch sunsets from. A downside is that the walls aren’t very soundproof. Good location. Only 10-15 min walk to beach and tours. "Probably the best location in St Paul’s bay. Just off the main busy tourist area. Lovely pool area, plenty of sun beds. Beds were comfy and balcony overlooking the pool and the bay. Breakfast was good, and plenty of it. As with all buffets a bit of pot luck as to how fresh the hot food was when you turn up. The only issue preventing me giving the hotel an outstanding review was the maintenance. Considering this was the start of the season it seems that little work had been done on maintenance....

"L’hôtel est très bien situé dans le centre de Saint Paul et à 2 minutes de la mer. La piscine sur le toit face a la mer est vraiment un plus. Pour ce qui est de la chambre d’hôtel, nous avions réservé la « internal shaft room », la moins chère, mais qui n’a cependant aucune fenêtre sur l’extérieur et seulement ayant vue directe sur les couloirs de l’hôtel. Donc afin d’avoir un minimum d’intimité, il fallait constamment fermer le rideau et ne laisser allumer que la lumière du plafond sans lumière...

"The only good thing about this place is the view. They didn’t send the codes I needed to get into the place or for my room so had a whole of unnecessary hassle. My “superior “ room was anything but with a tiny bathroom and no superior appointments."

"This was a very bizzare property. It’s NOT a hotel. It’s a 3 Bedroom apartment with locking bedroom doors. There is a common living room and common kitchen. The property is run from an office in Italy and they don’t do well with English. The wi-fi was terrible and the beds were awful. The property location is NOT correct on the Hotels.com app. We ended up going to the wrong area then having to call another car to get to the actual location. "The Solana is a fantastic hotel. The staff were lovely and incredibly helpful - advising us what buses to get and where from (as the regular stops were temporarily closed), as well as advising us of all local discounts. Check in and check out were simple and deficient. The swimming pools on the roof were well maintained and have fantastic views of Mellieha, The breakfast buffet had am excellent choice of food and the service was exemplary. "Good option with good standard rooms if you're ok to "commute" to the attractions in and around St Paul's bay (or stick to the pool area all day), location has limited food options within walking distance. Room has a kitchen (upgraded maybe) with kettle, microwave, stove and sink but no tea or coffee is provided so bring some as prices will be inflated."

"We had a lovely stay and would recommend this property. The only issue we had was that our pre-arranged hotel transfer was not actually arranged. The hotel did not confirm that booking, so we ended up using the taxi stand, which was fine. You are a bit outside of the main areas in Malta, but it was a lovely hotel with a fantastic breakfast. We enjoyed the restaurants around the hotel too. Great views at breakfast! Nice, quiet rooms with comfortable beds! We loved the partial sea view."
