"Perfectly located hotel with the added convenience of the ski in and out access. Great that ski storage was included in the price too. Every area was kept immaculately clean with rooms cleaned daily to a high standard. Breakfast buffet selection was excellent and the food delicious. We stayed half board and thought the starter and dessert offering from the buffet along with the pre ordered main course (choice of 3) was perfect. "Right in the middle of town, you can see the snowy mountains from the window, clean, efficient, walk to the entire old town, friendly and apart from the fact that the room was tiny but this is typical of europe, not much to complain about."

"The room smelled like the breath of the last 28 guests and their ancestors all the way to Mozart accumulated over time. It clearly had NOT been ventilated for months and that caused the air to smell stuffy and stale. Extremely unpleasant. And on top of that the AC did NOT work (despite the fact that the Expedia ad clearly says it includes AC). When we confronted the front desk about it they dismissed our complaint and told us to “open the window” (excuse me??? It was cold and rainy outside!!)....

"Celebrated an anniversary and birthday while staying at the Waxenstein. An anniversary card and chocolates in our room and a special birthday breakfast table with champagne for my wife’s birthday. All unexpected but greatly appreciated. No doubt our future trip to Grainau will include a stay at the Waxenstein."

"The Parkhotel Matrei has some of the most attentive and friendly staff I’ve met. The hotel gave off “home” feelings and not commercial hotel. The convenience of a front parking lot, gas station & grocery nearby was great and the rooms were perfect size for me and my many bags, as well as a space for me to get my work done. I was also given a holiday gift bag because they knew I’d be alone for the holiday. Just a great place, words don’t do them justice. Definitely will be returning some day!"

"Beautiful old world hotel with modern amenities. It right in the middle of everywhere you want to be in Innsbruck. Super clean, shopping, walking and eating right outside your door. Breakfast was amazing, not only was there a wonderful array of baked goods, fruit, meat, cheese, you could also order a la carte which we did and it was delish. The lady taking care of the breakfast room was super sweet and nice and made us the best cappuccinos. Five stars all around."
