"Unique property with great attention to detail. Thoroughly enjoyed dinners on the patio overlooking the ocean. Staff were very attentive and made sure the experience was enjoyable. Location is well suited for day trips throughout the northern and western parts on the island. "

"The front desk was welcoming upon our arrival, suggesting tours, activities and Madeira wine tasting. The lodge is below a tall mountain ridge and receives sun in late day. The breakfast is a 100m walk from our room. House keeping left the sliding glass door to our room open and some ants joined us; prompt service from the front desk resolved the issue. The room furniture was basic but largely comfortable. The room was relatively large. Check out was easy and efficient."
