"The location and the staff were excellent. The fact there was no parking assigned to the hotel was a surprise as we probably didn't read the hotel notes carefully enough. If one wants to avoid the $39 a night valet fee, there several nearby parking garages one can use. There is no A/C or phone, but great Wifi. The Trolley stop is right outside. The Trolley is free and runs every 15 min. Overall, we are very happy with our stay."
"We loved Monterrey Beach Hotel. The complimentary happy hour, and s’mores, and electric bikes were all an unreal surprise! Loved the fires at night too. Oh… I almost forgot—- the DOLPHINS! We sat on the beach and watched them flap their tails, jump about 5 feet in the air, and swim together in their pods(?). Seriously, we watched about 30 dolphins for about 2-3 hours in the late afternoon. We will fondly remember this hotel. (Only one little negative to report… outside clean up crew should be a little more attentive. There was some trash along the route to the beach that stayed there during our entire visit.). Hope we can return…"
