Westlands of Pitlochry
10/10 Excellent
"Great location with plenty of parking. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Room was spacious with a modern bathroom."

The Great Western Hotel
8/10 Good
"Staff were very nice and helpful. Great location and had a room with a view. Shower did not drain at all. Breakfast buffet was good to get the morning started. Overall an average hotel that had parts being renovated. Definitely had the old feeling vibe and very dated."

Columba Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality
8/10 Good
"The evening and Saturday staff were wonderful. Very pleasant, friendly and funny. When we arrived Friday morning, the young woman didn't seem happy to be working, so that is why I didn't give staff a 5, she was a bit negative and seemed to be put off by any questions we had. She also didn't ask if we needed anywhere safe to store our computers, where as the evening and Saturday staff asked us without me inquiring. The room was nice with a wonderful view, it was just old and a little run down. I would have liked the room to be a little better up kept. The breakfast was great, very delicious and had a great variety. The only down fall was one person supporting resupplying anyting the breakfast area had to offer, food, coffee, water, ect. We did not go into the bar."

The Caledonian Hotel

Onich Hotel

"Waterfront location was nice but you are isolated from shopping and other restaurants. The clerk at check-in was cold and pressured us to reserve and prepay for dinner and breakfast. Don’t. While the parking is free, it’s unlikely to be available after 6 pm on weekends. If you leave for dinner good luck finding a space later. We had dinner there one night and it was good but expensive for what you get. Our room was nice but not luxury class and cost $280 a night. Unfortunately the combination of a snooty clerk and high price we would not recommend or return. I would stay in Ft. William instead."

Scotlands Spa Hotel

"Hotel very tired, paintwork and floor coverings very poor. Facilities in room and cleanliness of room also poor. Having previously stayed at Athol Palace a few times we were expecting a similar standardetrd, carpets , cleanliness of"

Mercure Inverness Hotel

"When I arrived to check in, despite having prepaid for my reservation, I was informed that the room category I had booked was unavailable. Instead, I was assigned to a lower-category room, which was clearly inferior and presumably less expensive than the one I had reserved and paid for. Although the hotel moved me to the correct room on the second night, I experienced a significant inconvenience during the first night of my stay. As compensation, I was offered two complimentary breakfasts. While I appreciate the gesture, I do not believe it adequately compensates for the fact that the hotel was unable to provide the room category that had been confirmed and prepaid. I therefore believe that some form of reimbursement or additional compensation would be appropriate."

Atholl Palace Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We had a lovely one night stay here in a 'Classic' room. It was on the lower ground floor and along several corridors to access it but the directions and signage were excellent and the room had been renovated to a high standard. We used the swimming pool and jacuzzi - lovely surroundings, a little odd to have to wear disposable 'sockettes' over our shoes to enter the area and a little slippery underfoot but otherwise enjoyable. We had dinner in the bar at a window table overlooking the front view which was lovely. The service was excellent although became a bit slow as the bar filled up with only 1 staff member on duty. He did his best and a 2nd pair of hands eventually arrived to help out. Our meals were excellent. We enjoyed a stroll through the delightful landscaped grounds after dinner. The included buffet breakfast the next morning was in the restaurant overlooking the Tummel Valley where we were lucky to be given a window table (you pay extra to have dinner in this restaurant, we were glad we hadn't). The service we experienced throughout was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our splurge staying here."
