"Property is older so rooms were small but beds were comfortable. Breakfast had lots of options and it was nice not to have to leave the hotel. We found good restaurants for dinner in Breakin ( Red Skye) & Bradford (Claymore) a 10-15 min drive away.
Kyleakin is a a good hour to the hikes on the Trotternish Peninsula and 30 min to Portree so you need to plan around that travel time.

"While our room was clean and nice, like a boutique hotel room, the main guest area is where we hung out when at the hotel. It is really a standout, the pictures don’t quite do it justice.
However, the staff is what makes this place exceptional. We were here during a bad storm, and the area lost power. We were stressed a bit, but the staff just made us feel taken care of and safe.
If you want to visit the Isle of Skye, and you know what that entails, this hotel is an easy pick."

"All went well. My only critique is we had no idea how to get into the house upon arrival, or find the specific house. We were in a foreign country and this was our first house.
Having an email sent saying "When you arrive the house looks like this and here is where to find it" would have helped. Also a note saying how to get into the house (We called the owner which took a long time to figure out how to do in a foreign country) and was told house was unlocked and key was inside.
