Very comfortable for a pod hotel. Staff and amenities are very good and if you require English assistance, they have staff that can speak as well as provide English documents and instructions. I like that the lockers are right next to the pod instead of in a separate room like many others. My only minor complaint is that breakfast was served in an adjacent hotel which you have to go outside and back in to get to, which in the winter isn't the most pleasant. I would stay here again though, the cost performance is excellent.
Can definitely recommend it.
The only possible downside you should know about is you have to leave your capsule from 10 am to 4 pm, even if you're staying consecutive nights. But it didn't affect me, since I was running around outside all day anyway, and also it's possible to leave your belongings in the locker during that time, so you don't have to carry everything with you.
Everything else was superb! Good location, free sauna, TV, fresh pajamas and towels everyday, very friendly personnel, easy check-in and check-out, ... Be sure to bring some earplugs though, because you might hear your neighbors snoring.
I stayed here a few nights. It's kind of awkward but you get an email from the staff saying if you don't show up between 4-7 they will cancel your room. So that seems super sketchy to me. They say to give other people the ability to "stay", but literally the place had barely any of the capsules filled. That seemed a bit scammy. I sure hope you arrive early enough and don't have anything planned during that time lol .Also keep in mind you don't have access to the room from 10-4 regardless of how long you're staying.
The other complaint is it's insanely hot in the capsules with no ability to change it. There is a vent you can open that does next to nothing. It's actually insane. You have to pretty much keep the curtain thing pulled up or I feel like you would suffocate. No air flow whatsoever. I've stayed in a lot of capsule hotels and this has to be the worst when it comes to air flow. It made it extremely hard to sleep and pulling shade up isn't exactly private.
Other than the aboved mentioned things the place is fine. Keep in mind if you have tattoos they say don't shower here which is another thing that is super cringe of a "modern" hotel. Like really... Don't shower because you have a tattoo.
Sapporo is great but I'd probably try and find somewhere else and I usually say every hotel I stay at is good
