"Arrived late and left early the next day to catch a flight so did not have the luxury of spending as much time at the resort as we would have liked. Spacious comfy rooms and excellent staff and food!"

"The staff was great. The included breakfast was delicious. We stayed one night and had dinner which was one of the best meals on Santa Cruz. What really set the hotel apart from others was the fact that we were able to check in when we arrived at 10:30 am. The grounds were beautiful with about 15 to 20 giant tortoises roaming freely among coffee, banana and orange trees. I would definitely recommend them."

There is no kitchen for guests but there is a small fridge, bottled water, and a coffee/tea area. The Starlink worked well on my laptop but not well on my phone. "

"Loved staying at Captain Max's Hostel. It was welcoming, clean and the room was spacious. Captain Max is the kindest man and very accommodating. He was friendly and made a delicious breakfast in the morning. Additionally, the location is great and just a street over had a strip of great seafood restaurants. Our stay was great and the value for the money was excellent."

The manager observed that I was moving slowly due to a recent knee injury, and moved us to the ground floor next to the pool and breakfast area. All this without us even asking. "It was the best hotel on our island hopping trip to the galapagos. It really deserves the four stars! Our room was impeccable, complete and comfortable breakfast, they have a lounge in the restaurant Bahia Mar that’s not open everyday, it was the only disappointment since there is no service at the lounge, we ended up having dinner at the restaurant beside."
