"Great location with a short walk to the river trail, Luther Burbank home and garden, and restaurants. Quiet. All new retro furnishings, bathroom fixtures. Nice included breakfast with yoghurt, oatmeal, coffee, and the best granola I ever had."
"We could not have asked for a better location! This hotel is spotless and the beds were very comfortable! It is also located close to everything you could ever need! And the staff was so friendly. I would stay here again!"
"Great property with beautiful rooms. Conveniently located central to Sebastopol,
Petaluma, and Healdsburg. Walking distance to great shops and restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Will return."
"Truly horrible experience. My key cards failed 4 separate times. I was told to not put them near my phone or they demagnetize….HUH? I travel at least a dozen times a year for work and have NEVER ONCE had this issue. I also travel with a lot of camera gear, so lugging it up the elevator or stairs only to lug it back down to the office was exhausting.
Room was clean enough. It’s a budget hotel. I get it. But it’s severely outdated, the fridge didn’t get very cold and the shower head had a leak that would spray water over the curtain and onto the floor. I ended up putting a towel over the leak to redirect the water into the tub.
I think the key cards failing constantly really made me feel unsafe and very cautious. I wouldn’t let my own kids stay here. Staff was nice and helpful, but how much can you honestly do when you have a problematic key card system. Extended Stay should take a hard look at this property. I also put the chair by the door because I didn’t trust the lock."
The Sandman Santa Rosa Sonoma, an Ascend Collection Hotel
8/10 Good
"Despite the glowing, hip pics of a Sonoma inn, remember that this is an aged 1960s 2 floor motel with aluminum windows.
One loud child at the pool and the sound travels into your room.
On plus side, able breakfast, nice new shower, and nice sheets"
