From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the service was very good, the dining room was very clean and the staff was very attentive. In fact, we are very happy to have been at that hotel and we hope to return soon.

Great area to immerse yourself in the local culture. Ocean and beach are family friendly, for swimming or just wading. Hotel is old and lacks good maintenance. I opted for a junior sweet and the a/c was broken in the living room /bed room , fortunately the main bedroom had good a/c. This is not a beach front hotel it’s a hotel with access to the beach across a small city street. Shower flooded drains slowly when using. Pool is 10x20 food is fair. I do have to say that the area known as Rodadero is very inexpensive and offers lots of eating drinking options. Much better hotels in area than this one!

I would recommend it to my friends.. excellent staff, welling to help you the best they can. The view was amazing from my room of the beach. It was a family room definitely will go back. We enjoyed every minute we were there.

The hotel was really nice & well kept. The only reason I gave it a four was the poor internet connection. The wifi at the hotel was absolutely terrible with constant disconnections. The pool is also really small so if you're main thing is a pool, I'd look elsewhere Otherwise, the service & rooms were amazing & the location was definitely the best for in Santa Marta. If you don't know where to stay, location wise, look no further

Greeted with a welcome drink, place needs some renovations… bed was not the greatest (hard) broken shower head, which was fixed right away. The safe had issues, but the staff was able to help out when it wouldn’t open.

Shame for such a beautiful area the amount of disrepair and disorder On the upside still was an interesting experience and the people are warm and friendly The beaches were closed and the city had no electricity when we arrived but the hotel had a generator, overall we had to leave early

This is the nicest hotel in rodadero and has the best location. However, it comes at a cost.. The hotel did not invest in sound proof doors/windows, which they should at the rates they charge. It is difficult to sleep with street music extremely loud until 3am. If you plan on sleeping during night hours do not stay here, otherwise it is perfect.

We were traveling as a family group, adults and toddlers. The staff is amazing, they all willing and ready to help all the time. The place is well located and you can find everything around it. It is also close to the beach. The breakfast which is included with the booking was great too, fresh food and well cooked food. The only thing that needs to be improved is the security for little kids, the doors lack another lock so toddlers can not open it, the same thing with the balcony doors. Another suggestion would be cleaning the balconies as they pigeons poop is everywhere. They clean rooms everyday so adding the balcony cleaning would be great too. Overall our stay was wonderful and we recomend the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay overall at Hotel Be la Sierra. To be fair with the review I won't compare to a 5 star resort but for what it is.. a nice beachside resort with most amenities you will need. The Pros: The location.. amongst the located hotel in Rodadero. In the center of the main beach are with all the shops, restaurants, and nightlife within walking distance. I had a double room which was spacious, with hot water (for me this was important) and even had a small balcony which was a nice amenity. Also, my room had outstanding air conditioning. The staff was really nice and even had complementary coffee in the lobby. The negatives: The breakfast was not very good. The staff struggled to keep breakfast items stocked even with less customers. The internet was not that fast but is more than enough to check an occasional email which is what most will use it for during vacation. Also, this hotel is near the nightlife so if you are a light sleeper you may want to keep that in mind. For me, I'm a medium sleeper and the noise was no issue. Overall, I would recommend this hotel when visiting el Rodadero.. especially for younger party crowd, you cannot go wrong.
