Casa Qi is a quiet little gem along the Oaxaca coast. Absolutely spotless, responsive staff, spectacular views and quiet, Casa Qi was perfect. The quiet is earned by a rather steep uphill walk from Mazunte town uphill to the hotel. It’s worth the effort.

Totally did not expect the hotel Location I do not like give a bad review to nobody but this is a review just to let everyone know that there are certain things that we did not like 1- The shower stall had a bar sticking out and I cut my head on it 2- There where ants running around on the bathroom floor 3- They only provided one bed sheet no bed spread. 4- They ask you to turn off the air conditioner every time you go out and if you don’t they go in and turn it off. 6- No hairdryer 7- No mini fridge 8- No hot water 9- Too expensive $$$$$$&& for what you get Beware.

Siento q no te haya gustado, es normal q en un lugar con tanta naturaleza haya animales como hormigas no se puede estar fumigando por cuestiones de cuidado de naturaleza pero es difícil q las hormigas estén en las habitaciones porq no les gusta el frío del aire acondicionado, las camas si tienen sábanas si tienes frío puedes pedir una más gruesa pero es raro porque es un lugar de calor , es normal q en un lugar que se cuida el medio ambiente se pida que se apague el aire acondicionado y por lo mismo se pide no usar aparatos que gastan mucha energía como la secadora de pelo pero si la necesitan se les presta con mucho gusto, lo que pasa es que ustedes fueron unos huespdes que fueron groseros con el personal desde su llegada , creo que ustedes no saben disfrutar de un lugar con naturaleza y aprender a cuidarla

Hola lamentamos los inconvenientes , en la zona es difícil el agua caliente por q se oxidan fácil los tanques y puede ser peligroso pero el agua no sale fría, en la regadera hay sahmpoo para cuerpo y cabeza ya no se dan en empaques de plástico porque es mucho desperdicio de plástico, y en cuanto a servicios somos el hotel con el mejor precio en la zona con aire acondicionado televisión vista al mar terraza.Lamentamos q a usted no le haya gustado, buen viaje

While visiting mazunte for a couple nights, we booked this stay. We were aware of the steep heel to the hotel. But difficult for our taxi driver to locate as no signage of the name out front. beautiful location and garden, outdoor space is unreal, pool, view. Well kept. We had booked a king size and got two double beds, one of the beds being hard as a rock. Our room smelt like cat pee and towels had stains on them. All things easily overlooked when in such a beautiful place, but then our shower but like pins and needles. Great water pressure but the head comes out in the tiniest streams it actually hurt to shower, never experienced a shower like that before, so disappointing. Overall enjoyed the pool and view, due to the poor beds and shower will not be back or recommend for long stay.

The view from are room was amazing. The service is 5 star. It’s extremely affordable and a short walk to restaurants, bars, shopping and the beach. We read about the hill, but we don’t mind. If it’s hard for someone to walk the hill, they can get a cab. We dipped in the pool after dark and watched the stars before we headed to bed which was super comforting. We slept with the drapes open so we could watch the sunrise over the ocean.

Top of the world
Beautiful little hotel on top of the hill overlooking the ocean. Every room has a balcony and view. The pool is excellent. The breakfast and drinks by the pool are wonderful and well priced. Above all, the service staff is the best! We spent a week and appreciated the exercise climbing the steep hill from the beach every day

The staff at Casa Qi were amazing. They made our stay so nice. Thank you Natalia and Joel! The property itself is very tranquil. It's in a quiet part of town just a short walk from beaches and the main strip. The hill up to the property is quite an incline, especially in the heat, so, you do need a certain level of fitness to get there without transport. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind, with day trips into the main area of Mazunte, this is perfect. The hill and location make it more challenging to pop in and out and we found ourselves planning around when we would want to come back. The rooms are very nice, bright and clean. They have few amenities and we would have liked to have coffee making facilities in the room but instead we had to wait for breakfast and ask for hot water. A little coffee pot would make the place perfect! Overall, a great place. We would definitely stay again.

We loved the design of the property, the rooms and decks, the pool, and the views. The staff were very friendly too. We didn’t like being confronted by masses of rules. Just for the bath towels, there 9 rules. But no warm welcoming notices or instructions how to use things. All our communication with the owner was on What’s App. He did respond quickly, but with all the rules too, the lack of a physical managerial presence gave us the impression he wanted to keep his guests at a distance.

The location was amazing (although you have a major hill to walk up..)SO worth it for the view. The location is amazing because you can easily get to either Mazunte or San Agustillo. The owner Omar is so helpful, and all the staff wonderfuk. It is cash only and we did not know that originally when booking so just a heads-up!

Casa Qi is one of the best places I've stayed and I travel alot. The location is up a big hill so you need to be fit but once you're there it's an oasis. Fantastic pool, beautiful landscaping, quiet, private feeling. Cold drinks are always in the fridge at a very reasonable cost. Our room had A/C which I recommend. The view from every room is spectacular. You can sit out on your terrace and listen to the ocean crashing in the distance. The location for us was perfect. Right between Mazunte and San Augustinillo. About 10 minutes to each. Close to the action but completely peaceful. But the best was the owner Omar. He was so helpful and made great recommendations for restaurants, transportation, swimming areas, everything. He booked our taxi arriving and leaving. Best prices and better service. I can't wait to go back.

I would definitely recommend Casa Qi. It is a beautiful quiet spot, away from the hubub of the town. The gardens and the pool are really pretty. We had a room with a sea view and an enormous double bed. Room is air conditioned, but there is no hot water in the showers. Not a problem for us as it was boiling hot anyway!! Inevitably with a hotel away from the town and perched on the hill with a beautiful view, it is a bit of a hike to the beach and the shops and restaurants. You have to plan your day around this. Omar the proprietor of the hotel was extremely helpful with taxi transfers and recommending restaurants in the area. We had breakfast each day at the hotel and it was very nice and with a spectacular view!! I would come here again.

Gorgeous retreat
Gorgeous location & totally silent at night. The view from the rooms and pool is stunning. It feels like a retreat. Omar was very friendly and helpful. The wifi wasn't great, but I had phone signal to hot-spot when I needed to make work calls - and I don't imagine that would be a problem for most people on holiday. A perfect place to relax!

The view at this hotel is breathtaking. The pool was nice also nice. The staff is decentralized, meaning that if you need something you’ll need to flag one of them down and they’ll radio the person who can help you. There isn’t a lobby or a front desk.

I highly recommend this place to stay during your visit to Mazunte. Beautiful views from the room , you can also enjoy the views from the pool and amenities. The staff is very helpful and kind, great service . Definitely will stay here next time .

This place is a tiny gem tucked away in the forest! The views are excellent and the property immaculate. The road to get up is a bit tricky, but doable. If you are foreign, take cash with you to pay for your stay, as they only accept cash or a bank transfer. I would definitely stay here again!

My stay here was great, I enjoyed waking up to an incredible view and being close enough to everything in Mazunte. The management was attentive and made everything easy. Breakfast pancakes in the mornings was really good! If I had one wish, it would be that there was soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathrooms. All good though. It's a beautiful hotel and the pool is always a plus especially in Mazunte. Recommending this stay to my friends.
