"Ask for the run down at check in. Evidently there was a pool ?
That’s on me.
Everything was amazing! Clean bathrooms, comfy bed could see the sand dunes from our bed if we opened the door.

"My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Historic Plaza Hotel immensely. First, the receiving staff greeted us with a smile and really made us feel at home. Check-in was quick and easy. Next, the spacious room was immaculate (in every sense of the word) and well-decorated with objects that reflected the history and culture of the area. As to the latter, similar themes abound throughout the hotel corridors, not just in the room. There were only two items, however, that we were not too pleased with:...

"The Lodge is under new ownership, and I was told they’re gradually improving things. However, I can only review the experience we had. While it is rustic and homey, we had some issues during our stay.
+ The check in/out process was very easy.
+ When our room only had 2 bath towels, the staff responded very quickly to get us 2 more.
- The AC in our room was broken.
- The ice machine was broken.
- There was a crack/hole in the bathroom floor.
- The tub was dirty and needed to be scrubbed....

"The rooms were very outdated and dirty, they were not a reflection of the front desk or restaurant on the property. Broken furniture and folding plastic tables in the rooms along with dirty walls and carpet. We will not stay here again unless they remodel and renovate existing rooms."

"My stay was peaceful. Perfect location to feel a part of nature but with the comforts of glamping. Staff in the office was delightful, gift shop is cute. It was wonderful to have coffee on the porch each morning of my trip. The ambiance of the location is worth every dollar spent."
