"Amazing location. The beach is on your doorstep. Really friendly staff on arrival. Not so great in the bar and at breakfast. Didn’t have the same personal feeling / vibe for everyone . Could not fault the view or the area surrounding the hotel. Really enjoyed going across the water on the chain ferry. Would visit again for the location."

"Bit of an issue getting into the property as we arrived quite late but thought the pub would still be open. Sorted out quickly without a problem though. Room was really good, comfortable, clean with all we needed for a good night's sleep. Owner seems to have considered what was required really well. Breakfast was excellent & catered for all tastes. "The property was okay, but not worth it for the price in my opinion. The bathtub in our room was broken when we checked-in - the side was completely falling off. The beds were very uncomfortable - I could literally feel every spring in the mattress. The gym didn't open until 9:30 a.m. during the week, which was super inconvenient and we were therefore unable to use is. Overall, our stay was just okay."

"A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again."
