"This was the worst place we have stayed in 7 weeks of travelling. Tiny room. Double bed against the wall. Bedhead freestanding & moves every time you roll over. Tiny bathroom. No room for cases. In house restaurant closed the 3 nights we stayed. Had to travel 10 kms to find an evening meal. Advertises that it’s 25kms from Bilbao, when it was more like 35km. Extremely noisy from any activity in the passage. Cleaning staff rolling their trolley up & down the passage from a very early hour. Best...

"Arrived Tuesday, tired from a long drive from Toledo. Immediately looked after. Room was superb with a great view. Room was very clean, bed was excellent. Food very good. Loved the location of the hotel, after 20 days of travelling around Spain and Portugal this rejuvenated the batteries. An excellent hotel. "

"Fabulous place in a lovely location. We had a brilliant stay and the hotel could not do enough to help us. They allowed us to check out a couple of hours later as we had struggled to get transport back from Bilbao, they also made us packed lunch (for a small fee) on departure even though the restaurant was closed. "Misleading advertisement and management didn’t respond when we complained. I booked a cabin via hotels.com at Finca el Mazo for my family including our two young children. It was advertised as being family friendly with lots of activities including swimming pool, football, games room and basketball. When we arrived, it was apparent there was an organised camp of maybe 100 teenagers including a stage, amplifiers, loud music and cheering etc. While this caused us no distress during the daytime,...
