"Front desk staff is phenomenal!! Answered all of our questions and was always gracious. We ate twice at the second restaurant two doors to the left when exiting hotel it was recommended from staff - the food was very good - hotel is centrally located to all shopping, dining and tours - one note * the hotel is not near train station, make arrangements to take water bus or taxi and get off at Rialto Bridge and it’s a 5 min walk "

"Our stay was perfect start to finish. From the check in experience to the included breakfast to the service everything was nothing short of a 7 star experience. Starting with the location - perfectly located to all close attractions, very easy to walk from Rialto bridge which has direct connectivity from the Airport/Train Station. We came from the airport and departed Venice from the train station - both commutes were very easy from this hotel. Staff was top notch, very professional and accomodating. The rooms were very clean, well insulated, and had all the facilities that you need. Also has elevators. Bed is comfortable, although the double bed is two single beds joined together (but we didn't mind that). If I am ever in Venice I will be back here!"

"This was a lovely hotel. Room was spotless and well equipped, including a fridge for our use. The staff were very friendly and helpful, special thanks to Matilde who really made the time special for our daughter. Views from the hotel were beautiful and it was right beside the vaporetto stop which made getting in and out of Venice very easy. Lovely breakfast every morning and breakfast bags made up for us for leaving as we were a very early check out. We really appreciated this. Lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and gelaterias very close to the hotel. Loved staying in Lido as opposed to Venice - was very chilled. Would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely stay here again. "

"Stayed in a family room, large double bed, 2 single beds. All fine. Basic but very functional. Location perfect, we loved staying in Lido and this is a short walk from the dock yet set among lovely bars and restaurants. The breakfast was limited but had all we really needed. Overall we would be happy to use this hotel again."

"Note: this hotel is not on the main isle of Venice. It's on Ludo Island, which is close to Venice, but not on the main island. We did not know this, and it took an hour and a half by waterbus to get from the train station to Lido while lugging all our bags, etc. And honestly, it takes a while to get to it from where all the big things are on Venice, so you spend more time travelling because your hotel is further out. Luckily, the hotel is just across from the waterbus station, and the bed was pretty comfy, but if we'd known it was going to be so far removed from everything we'd be doing, we wouldn't have booked on Lido. You probably pay more to be on Venice itself, but it's likely worth it. The waterbus "system" is a disaster to navigate, so being further out really does hinder you. the hotel was okay. The breakfast was okay, but not as good as other hotels we stayed at in Italy. But we likely would not stay here again, given everything we know now. "

"We found Hotel Rigel to be an excellent choice for our 5 nights. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the waterbus stop on Lido on a quiet road. Our room was comfortable and very clean with some interesting touches of Venetian style. As promised by the reviews, the breakfast was a generous spread of fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, rolls, croissants, cereals, nuts, eggs, salad and a tempting array of biscuits, cake and tarts. The hotel does not have its own restaurant but there are several close by and because the Lido is mostly residential you get a more authentic Venetian experience.There is also the bonus of seeing Venice surrounded by snowcapped mountains...magical. Get ab ACTV pass and you are sorted."
