"I used to love Aku Hotels, but new management ruined it. The manager is never around, and when she is, she’s unkind and unprofessional. It’s disappointing because some of the staff (like Andres) are great—but overall, the atmosphere has changed for the worse. If you’re looking for a warm, friendly stay, I’d skip this place."

"This was located in a very nice area and was also a beautiful place. I arrived at almost midnight and the person in the lobby only spoke Spanish (as might be expected in Peru). Unfortunately, I had not been sent all of the necessary information from Hotels.com including the keycode for the door. I was able to contact the property manager and they were able to send me the door code - but all of this took at least 30 minutes when I would have rather been in bed. The property manager was great, but much of this could have been avoided if I was more familiar with this type of rental. There was no mention that the apartment did not have air conditioning. This is common in Lima, but the temperature was quite warm. "
