"To be fair, this once elegant property is in a great location and the breakfast buffet & morning restaurant staff were excellent. Also, we were there in the middle of a severe heat wave, so staff and systems were strained to the max. Housekeeping staff were VERY NICE, but Front Desk - not so much. However, if you have a pool, people will use it; if they use it, you need to have staff who can make sure it's clean and that there are enough towels. If you offer water, make sure the jug is full. As for the room, look at the photo in the website: even a standard room has a curtain over the bed to soften the harshness of the whiteness of the room... it's not too much to ask to have the actual room match the one in the photo... Unfortunately, the rooms suffer from water damage and ventilation challenges and have a musty smell. I hope that the property can address this issue in the future.
