I had a room overlooking the promenade with a tiny balcony which was nice but the room and the bathroom were small and a bit run down. A friend had the same category room at the back abc both room and bathroom weee quite a bit larger. However I’d stay there again "

"Amazing hotel, clean, historic, a ton of beautiful amenities and great service. My only complaint is that their pillows are paper thin and uncomfortable. They need to upgrade their pillows. A lot of people in our group had neck pain and/or trouble sleeping due to the flat pillows. I eventually requested firm pillows but even with that, had to layer the pillows."

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vacances Bleues le Royal. The hotel has an authentic French feel with antiques, chandeliers, and elaborate mouldings. The rooms are more modern- the bed was very comfortable and the balcony looks out onto the Mediterranean. The only issues we had were that the bathroom lights didn’t work- we let the front desk know and they were supposed to send a workman to our room to check it out, but never did. The other issue was that the air conditioner did...

The hotel is in a good location with the main restaurant area being a 5min walk, the tram link is about 5mins and Nice train station is about 10mins walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful. "Staff were very helpful, the room was nice, the breakfast was great (purchased on the morning for 10 EUR each). We did however find that the air-conditioning didn't work particularly well. In late spring / mid-May when the maximum daily temperatures were 20°C, we had the air-conditioning on "full" overnight but still found ourselves waking up during the night sweating and dehydrated."
