"When we arrived, the lady and her husband said there were no rooms available, offered us alcohol and asked if she could bring us to another pension house. We decided to check it out. She took us a block away, opened a large metal garage door, and asked if we wanted to stay there. It was sketchy and felt unsafe. We left and went to the Four Points instead. We’ll be pursuing a refund. Honestly this person should be banned from Expedia."

"Our room is Spacious and clean, there was a plumbing issues but solved quickly, all the staffs from front desks, tours, housekeeping, restaurants, security, landscaping, and spa SERVED professionally with a SMILE. They generously accommodated us for a quick change of our drop off for the airport departure time with a breakfast meal to go. They exceed my expectations! Spa Experience can be improved. Since it is out of the way from downtown Puerto Princesa, and if you are planning to have a day tour, make sure to asks if the tour is going to happened. OVERALL, I will Recommend Astoria Palawan from food, accommodation and communications!"

"Hotel room was VERY clean, can see the ocean from all rooms. The staff went above and beyond everyday, The restaurant and bar were delicious, better than any of the food I ate in the town. Although port Barton constantly has power outages the restart has generators, the lights and fan never stopped working. I plan to come back and stay here again, I spent a month in Palawan and this place takes the throne. Extremely affordable and absolutely amazing! 10/10 recommend!"

"Awesome rooms! Wonderful food! Very friendly and courteous staff. Great beach view. Traveled in June and we almost had the entire beach to ourselves. One of the closest accommodation to the Underground River site and one of the zipline courses. Had a relaxing couples’ massage done in our room. Too relaxing that we dozed off each time we did it!"

The bungalow is very basic but super clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed with an eco-friendly touch that added to the charm of the experience. Every detail felt thoughtful and authentic, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. What truly made our stay exceptional was the hospitality. The staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their friendliness and care made us feel more like guests in a home rather than visitors at a lodge. The food was another highlight — fresh, delicious, and full of local flavors. Every meal was prepared with care and enjoyed in such a peaceful setting. We especially appreciated the lodge’s commitment to sustainability and preserving the natural beauty around it. Ocean Green Eco Lodge is a hidden gem and a place we will remember for a long time. "This was a family run hotel directly on the beach. The area was great and easily walkable and the staff very helpful and friendly. However, the rooms were dated and there are an abundance of roosters directly across from the rooms who start crowing between 3 and 4 am. If you like sleep I suggest you bring noise cancelling headphones or book another hotel. "
