"A wonderful place to relax. Absolutely outstanding service from all the staff. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and they go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. We normally eat out a lot when we travel but the food was so good with a diverse menu that we ate most of our meals at the hotel restaurant. The free daily yoga and activities were great. I particularly enjoyed learning to make offerings."

"Staff were fantastic . Unfortunately plumbing went awry and our.room stunk of sewerage,getting so bad we had to ask the move rooms. Staff were happy to accommodate this but we had to ask as the cleaning staff just acted like the room was fine. No hot water on the last day. Quiet and out of the way but obviously has both some teething and ongoing maintenance issues. These things ruined our stay there."

"The resort was beautiful and had an excellent view of the black sand beach! Very peaceful and quiet, away from all the chaos which was excellent for relaxing. All the grounds were very well kept and maintained. We stayed here for part of our honeymoon, and we loved our stay. The villa we had was exceptionally clean, and had a beautiful view of the ocean, and was equipped with everything we needed for our six day stay. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. We were always welcomed like we were at home there, and their hospitality could not have been any better! We loved getting to talk and know some of them, and they helped us out with some ideas and places to go check out while we stayed there. The food at the restaurant was great, and they had a very big and diverse menus that gave us a lot of options to choose from. We loved going there early in the morning, eating a wonderful all you can eat breakfast, and going for a nice walk up the beach. We would defiantly recommend this stay for other travelers looking for a quiet and relaxed stay with exceptional service! Thanks again for our wonderful stay and hospitality! Noah and Amanda"

"We loved our stay at this unique property. It was very clean, the towels smelled delightful and fresh. We loved having our own private pool,it was big enough and very private. But the noise does travel between the tents quite a lot. Something to keep in mind. The staff were extremely helpful including Hannah, Amy and the rest of the team. They even surprised me with a birthday cake on my special day ,it was very thoughtful and brought a tear to my eye. A beautiful and romantic place to relax. I would highly recommend it."

"From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and welcome. We booked tanah gajah for our honeymoon and wish we had stayed for longer than 4 nights! The hotel has so much to offer - a tethered hot air balloon (worth every penny), professional photographer, rice field paddy tour and kedac dance nights. The staff were all brilliant and we slept amazingly well. We would definitely recommend the resort to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Ubud."

"Sanctoo villas is beautiful accommodation and the people there are wonderful. We stayed for three nights in total and stayed in the “llama room”. I’m not sure what classification of room this is as it’s not actually what we booked. Word of caution. We booked a family suite and included the ages of the children in the booking (6 and 9) and were charged as such. When we arrived the suite has one bed and we were expected to sleep in one bed with the four of us. There was a sofa they offered to put a sheet onto at an extra charge but this wasn’t suitable. We paid to upgrade our room in the end but this would have been a real problem if that wasn’t available. Other than that, the zoo is great, the pool is lovely and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. The lemur apartments were a real treat. They are in the zoo so you are right in with exotic birds, lemurs and a wallaby. A real treat (be prepared for an 0600 wake up call though from the animals. This room specifically) The chef is awesome. The food was beautiful. Everything we ate was of high quality and there are a good few children’s options. The serving and reception staff are a credit to the hotel and our girls loved talking with them. It’s billed as a 5 star hotel and there are some minor bits that stop that. Can’t charge to room, they do a 3for2 beer offer, we ordered two but didn’t see the offer and they didn’t make us aware charging for 2 with no third. In room drinks average etc."
